  1. I went to my interview alone since my husband is currently deployed on October 28th the interviewer did the interview and then said he would be requesting further evidence as he wanted my husbands orders. However I still haven't received that letter, I have been tracking my case online the I-485 says " my case interview has been completed and my case has to be reviewed" my I-130 said the same until I checked it today where it says " my correspondence has been received and the uscis is reviewing it"

It said it received my correspondence on November 17th. What does that mean? Is it normal? Is it good or bad? The interviewer took all my pictures, bank statements and utility bills but nothing else.

  2. How was your interview? mind sharing any details of it?

Also, when did you get your interview date? Did your AOS get approved already? I read people usually get an update soon after.

My case is from March 25th, so hopefully we get an interview date soon!

I got my interview date at the start of October, and I believe my interview went well however he is sending a request for more evidence due to the fact my husband is currently deployed so I won't hear a decision until he has what he wants

  3. I had my interview on the 28th, my husband is in the navy and currently deployed so I went to the interview without him. I took a navy letterhead letter from the highest person from my husbands command with numbers and people to contact as proof of deployment however the interviewer said he couldn't accept it as proof and needed his orders. He did the interview and sent me away saying I would be receiving a letter requesting further evidence as he couldn't reach a decision until he has my husbands orders, and from the date of that letter I would have 90 days to submit his orders. After talking to my husband under no circumstances could I or anyone have copies of orders as its extremely confidential as obviously they're still on deployment. My husband can get another letter from his command to explain why he couldn't attend the interview on that particular day but they cannot give me orders. I'm going to call the USCIS tomorrow to talk to them about it because I'm not sure what I can do, has anyone been through similar or have any advice?

  4. So I had my interview today and I believe it went well but I want other opinions! As soon as I was called I was asked where my husband was so I told him he was on deployment , the guy said okay do you have any proof? I said yes as my husband had sent me a letter from his command saying he was on deployment . The guy took the letter and left me alone in the office. He came back and said they couldn't accept the letter, they needed his orders. I said okay and he told me he was still going through with the interview. He asked me questions which I answered and asked for proof of a relationship so I showed him pictures, joint bank accounts, rental agreements, utilities, even my wedding video and also a picture of my tattoo of my husband's name. I was attempting to show him more because I had so much stuff but he said he had seen enough. He took all my pictures, utility bills and joint bank account paper, he could've took more but that's what I saw. He said he was going to send me a request for more evidence because he couldn't make a decision until he had my husbands orders, once I receive that letter I have 90 days to submit his orders which is a hardship it itself because it's classified information but my husband is seeing what he can do but based on the fact he is only waiting on orders it's a good thing? Do you think I'm gonna be approved once I send in my husbands orders?

  5. Not only is the AOS interview a scary thought even more so when you have to go alone!!! My interview is in 2 days at the Seattle office, my husband is on deployment so won't be able to attend so I'll be going alone ? I'm confident I have all my paperwork and I am confident in our relationship yet whenever I think about the interview my stomach drops, I'm literally loosing sleep. Someone give me some good interview stories !! I am really nervous!! I keep thinking we're gonna be denied and they're going to make me leave :( I already have my EAD and have been working since July that's a good thing right?!? Soooo nervous

  6. Myself and my husband sent off my AOS paperwork on 02/23/2015 we recieved the reciepts on 03/04/2015 and 03/10/2015. They have taken all fees including the biometrics. I tracked my case and it says they have received my biometrics fee and have mailed me something with instructions and they said they're working on how to handle my case. Do they say that to everyone?

The fact we've received reciepts and they've taken the money is that a good sign?

I'm so worried that something is going to go wrong :(

  7. I only sent my AOS paperwork last month so the interview is probably awhile away but my husband is active duty Navy which has been documented in my paperwork, he is due to go on an 6 month deployment later in the year so it's highly unlikely he's going to be in the country for the interview! How is this handled? Will they reschedule for when he's back? It's gotten me quite worried!

  8. Hey there everyone ? How is everyone doing today? I'm a new member and I have just hopped into the AOS wagon! My I-485 and I-130 is currently pending! It's such a nerve wrecking and exciting time, I just pray everything is okay! My husband is in the navy and we were married 12/19/2014 and we sent in our AOS pack 02/24/2015 we have already received our receipts so surely that's a good sign? My EAD was denied because I'd forgotten to sign it!! Such a dummy ? I have since signed it and getting hubby to make a copy of my I-485 receipt to send it back off again! I look forward to reading about everyone else's journey and I hope keeping track of my case will help calm the nerves!
