  1. I did not realize that all petitions were now being sent to CSC (I thought it was just a temporary two-or-three-month re-routing). That being the case, I can ease my frustration ever so slightly at USCIS (though increase it slightly at the folks who misread the directions for selecting their proper service center ;) ). It does not change the fact that there seem to be hardly any approvals coming from earlier this year (unless people are so stoked to finally be approved that they're forgetting to update their timelines -- which I completely understand).

ANYway. Still frustrating. 204 days in. I feel reeeally bad for the people from 2014 who are still waiting. It's just unbelievable. Patience upon patience... I'm running out.

  2. How is it now that soooooo many August and September filers are just breezing through TSC (not just those from the Philippines) while those of us from earlier in the year (I'm a March filer) are just SITTING THERE?? SUCH BS. How do we bring these things to light with the powers that be? When I call, the humans at USCIS just read from the script in front of them...

  3. This topic is nothing new. I remember a time when CSC was slow, then Vermont, now Texas. It ebbs and flows back and forth between the different centers.

You guys can and did visit.....many of us couldn't.....just saying.

And.....you just filed in March and now your so upset.

Expect 10 months and be happy with 5 is what I say.

@Baron555 - it may not be new to you, but it's new to me, and many others. If you're going to judge us for being frustrated "too early," or discredit our situation just because we got to visit more than others, then we can do without your advice. It's all relative. Congrats to you for making it through the process.

I appreciate the helpful advice from everyone else. It's very much appreciated.

  4. Other than the obvious expense, is there really any down-side or potentially negative effects in the eyes of USCIS if we were to withdraw our current petition and re-submit?

Can't say. You can go first and fill us in on how it went.

@baron99 - Snarky posts from members who have not only been approved, but are also already married and together are just salt in the wound.

  5. We really appreciate all the advice and perspective. We have been able to visit during the process, and will do so again. It's just the emotional and financial strain that it puts on us (as well as everyone else in our situation, obviously). I just figured it wouldn't hurt to float the question out there and get people's opinions on the matter.

@Spahawk - you mention a July deadline (approx), but we still have an expected October deadline in our timeline. Is there something you know that I don't? Or are you simply talking about your own deadline? (or perhaps you're reading the date in the UK/Euro Day/Month syntax, as opposed to our US Month/Day syntax) Thanks in advance for the clarification.

  6. As most everyone knows about the USCIS "workload balancing," those of us who submitted (even as recently as March, like us) from states assigned to the Texas Service Center are stuck there until they get through their backlog, regardless of the fact that all new I-129's are seemingly being routed to California, regardless of origin state -- and getting approved in a fraction of the time. We are currently *hoping* that the projected NOA-2 approval dates of approximately 10/7-17 hold, but even then, who knows...

My fiancé and I are at a point of such elevated frustration, we are willing to pay the extra money to withdraw and re-submit so that we don't have to wait until the beginning of next year in order to live with each other. Watching others at CSC just sail through the process is just killing us. It's just absolutely ridiculous.

Other than the obvious expense, is there really any down-side or potentially negative effects in the eyes of USCIS if we were to withdraw our current petition and re-submit?

  7. Hi is the workload transfer includes Texas service center to CSC and VSC? Cause in the news they said from VSC to CSC....anyone to enlighten me?

It definitely seems a bit tricky with the wording. The first part refers directly to the 130 forms, but the second part refers to the other forms, and since VSC doesn't really process I-129's anymore (that I can tell), then I would assume they're talking about transferring some from TSC. Let us hope.
