  1. I got a text message at 8pm today while I was in class! I didn't get to check my phone until our break around 8:30pm! I HAVE BEEN SCHEDULED FOR AN INTERVIEW! I've been frantically checking everyday and it totally happened when I wasn't expecting it! Hopefully I receive my interview letter in the next couple of days. I'm so excited!

Please update my info! thank you!!!

congrats to everyone who is moving along and good luck to those who are on their way!

  2. Hey all,

I received my in-line for an interview notification on March 13th. It has been almost a month. I am not complaining whatsoever because my case has been moving fairly quickly. Just wondering what the average wait time is for an interview to be scheduled? Some people who have the same local office (St Paul, MN) as me have waited months while others who filed around the same time only waited a week or two.

I'm appreciative of how quickly my case is moving but also anxious to get an interview letter!

  3. Quick Question: I am in line for being scheduled for an interview. Will my case update to "Scheduled for Interview" before they send the letter or should I just check my mail everyday in case I was scheduled without an update? I've seen that the case status sometimes doesn't update at all. Also it says that they will send an interview notice even when it is says that you're only in line for scheduling.

So for the people who have gotten interview letters, did your case status update from in line for an interview to scheduled for an interview first or at all before you got the letter?

I've been checking my mailbox like crazy since i've been in line since March 13th. I know it can take months to be scheduled and am not being impatient, just wondering if I need to be checking my mailbox like crazy. I live with my family and they often misplace my letters so i've been getting the mail ASAP.

  4. So i'm wondering if applying before speeds up the process? One of my relatives who had applied before and didn't pass the civics test (can't really speak english) had their biometrics done on Friday, February 27th and their case was updated on March 2nd to "Scheduled for Interview" and received her interview letter a week later! She didn't even have to be in line. I did my biometrics on March 5th and got my case updated on March 13th to "In Line for Interview"and haven't heard anything since.

I am not complaining whatsoever since I see some people who filed in February and who haven't even gotten their biometrics done. I am just wondering why she would be updated to "Scheduled for Interview" only three days after her biometrics appointment? I did my biometrics less than a week after she did.

Another question: Will my case update to "Scheduled for Interview" before they send the letter or should I just check my mail everyday in case I was scheduled without an update? I've seen that the case status sometimes doesn't update at all.

This forum has been really helpful and I wish the best of luck to all of you!

  5. Hello,

For those Minnesotans who are currently in the process of naturalization and those who have already become U.S. citizens (congrats!!!), what does/did your timeline look like? I am not complaining whatsoever because I have actually been going through the process at a great speed but I am just worried since I have now been updated to being in-line for an interview. I have seen some posters who have waited months and months for an interview to be scheduled.

The funny thing is that a relative of mine did their biometrics a week before me (they did theirs late february and I did mine early march) and got a notice that said their interview had been scheduled a couple days later (not "in line" but full on scheduled). Like three or four days after their biometrics. They have also received their interview letter!

I am not complaining at all! I guess i'm just so anxious and excited that I keep double checking my USCIS case status and am worried that it will take months to schedule. I just wonder if my relatives case could mean that I should be scheduled for an interview soon?

Please let me know how your process at the St. Paul office went!

Thanks a lot and good luck to you all!

  6. I received this email today

"On March 13, 2015, we started the interview scheduling process for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization , Receipt Number NBC*XXXXXXXXX. We will send you an interview notice."

So this means that I am in line for an interview right? Also, will my case status change when I have actually been scheduled for an interview or will I just receive the interview notice?

    AH! I'm SO excited!!

Also, please update my timeline! :)
