  1. Hithereexpats, I just called and the customer service agent that attended to me offered to put in a service update request for me since I was already beyond the 6 months processing time that VSC quoted. I called at 6.5 months and still waiting.

However, the tier 2 agent that attended to my call this week told me that technically I'm still within the processing time and this is at almost 7 months. I guess it depends on who attends to you. Keep trying but make sure your at least beyond the six months period.

Thanks. I'm actually at about 7.5 months now so was trying to understand how others on this thread were able to put in a service request. I guess I'll just keep waiting :-/

  2. Congrats Sunny. Your approval gives me hope that my approval will come. I've been waiting since sept 19 which is like a week after you. I have done two calls for update, one tire 1 and one got through to tier 2 plus one service request. I was told that my case will be in 18days time. I don't know what that means.

Congrats and I'm happy for everyone who has received approval.

Hi Floxy, how were you able to do a service request? I filled early September, but whenever I try to initiate a service request online or through a tier agent, I'm told that VCS is still processing within their expected time frames so cannot put in a request just yet...

  3. Hi there,

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere but I didn't see an answer. I am the permanent resident and filled jointly with my wife to remove conditions back in September. Since our joint filling, we have separated (although not legally) and are living at different addresses. We are in an amicable spot but its unlikely we're going to get back together. Neither of us has yet to file for divorce.

I submitted with strong evidence (joint lease, tax returns, bank accounts, utilities, plenty of photos etc) but am now wondering if I should (or if I'm obligated) to inform USCIS of my situation. It looks as though my service center is experiencing a backlog processing these applications, but since it has been a little over 6 months since I filled, I'm not clear what action (if any) I should take.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!
