hi Guys, I just checked my online status today as usual and there is a message requesting for RFE! I'm May 2014 filer with NPIW letter in september. my medical expired in january 2015 so im hoping it is what they are asking for. I'm just thinking to have an appointment at one of the doctors listed on USCIS website and do the medical before i get the RFE. what do you recommend guys?
We got an RFE for a new medical - the letter took two weeks to arrive. I wish they would have posted it on the website, we would have done it and been prepared. There is a cost (we paid $200) and its going to have to be done, so why not do it now. It is simple and more a formality - get it done and be ready to send it back out. From the day you send it out, it takes about a week to get approved. Good luck
-
We just got home from a trip to a RFE - it is dated exactly one year from receipt of the AOS. They have a medical question about something from the original exam, not an expiration - not a big deal, so we will solve asap - at least there is movement! Wanted to keep everyone up to date that April 14 AOS receipt & NPIW 7/29/14
-
1 year, 1 day since our NOA, our NPIW was 7/29 --- still waiting -- ugh
i am glad to see others getting approved - i am sure we are in that stack somewhere - so the more approvals, the better
-
I just got woken from a delightful nap by an even more delightful text message from USCIS.
AOS APPROVED!
CONGRATS! I am so excited to see all the approvals -
I hope that means we are getting close. Our NPIW is 7/29 also ---

OMG - my card is being produced !!!!
I seriously can't believe this. Today marks 1 year since Uscis received my case. Tthey decided to give me an anniversary gift it seems.
I don't know if it was a coincidence or related to the fact that I contacted the ombudsman office yesterday and that I contacted my senators office this morning or that I went for my biometrics renewal appointment last week.
I believe its all the positive energy you guys are sending out!
Thank you so much and thanks for all the help!
In the happiest person right now
Good luck to all of you who are still waiting. I hope your wait will be over soon!
Congrats congrats congrats - another April filer approved!!!!!!! (we are still waiting, but it gives us hope to see your great news)

Hi d nd r thank u for ur reply. Yup we received a NPIW letter. I am gone follow ur advice, it's so frustrating for all of us.....stay positive.. U can work already right?
we filed AOS 4/14/14 -- it is a long, drawn out process. did you get the NPIW? if so, are they still saying 6 month delay? assuming so, i would start 6 months and 1 day later! i like the old saying, squeaky wheel gets the grease! so, i would try every angle - not sure if it helps, here we are at one week shy of a year, so who knows - but it does feel better to vent and try something - good luck
Good morning everyone - hope everyone had a Happy Easter weekend! Let's hope we can continue the celebration with GC's! good luck to everyone waiting ---
Some days I think I have a better chance at winning the lottery ticket - wait, that's negative, i need to be positive! sorry about that! :-)
yes, its actually my wife that we are waiting on the gc for - we got her ead and ap in july of 2014, so she can work and we can travel - but the entire process to naturalize doesn't start until the gc is issued - so we are anxious, plus we love to travel and until she naturalizes, many places require a visa for her - which just adds to it all
good luck

it looks like the flood gates have opened - its so exciting to see the approvals - congrats to everyone!
-
It finally happened everyone!
i just got chills - congratulations - i am so shocked. well deserved. we are so happy for you both.
we have similar dates, so lets hope we are right behind you - but this is about you, so congratulations again
-
I and Nlhernan agree. We both thought it might be last week, but this week I feel a bit more positive about it all, perhaps its the fact the sun is shining outside and everything feels promising!
lol - i have been waking up and saying 'this will be the day' since july 2014 --
we are just shy of a year, so hopefully one of these days i will be right
-
Oeps, I meant 10/24/2014

I filed for i-485 from fiance visa late Jan 2014, recieved first EAD and potential interview waiver form May 2014, after 3 service requests between August and Feb of this year have gotten no further with my green card, applied for renewal EAD in late Feb, card now in production but still no news about green card...
this whole process is unbelievable. last night we looked at the next steps, after the conditional green card. looks like just shy of 2 years, we have to apply for the removal of the conditions for a 10 year green card. then, 3 years from the anniversary date of getting this gc is when we can look at naturalization. so this one year delay in processing the gc delays the entire process. has anyone looked in to it? does what i found sound right? just seems like its a never ending cycle.

morning ,everyone.I have been trying to look for info of renew EAD/AP ,but I can't find any .I remember I need submit form I-175 I-131 and copy of current EAD ,receipt of NOA and 2 visa pictures ?
i am the type that goes overboard, so to be safe, we sent to much...i used this memo and enclosed these items (hope it helps):
My Adjustment of Status (I-485, Receipt#MSCxxxx) application is pending. I had received a Notice of Potential Interview Waiver and another letter explaining additional delays. If you have any questions or need additional information concerning the above, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you in advance for your kind attention and cooperation in this matter.Sincerely, -
the good thing is that Ombudsman is getting involved...
I contacted Ombudsman one day earlier, i.e. 03/17, I guess I will receive a similar response, not sure when...
I just was about to post the same thing. I got the same letter. I wrote after seeing Natonstan's post a few weeks ago --- lets hope that they are really doing something.
AOS filed April 14, NPIW July 29

You OLD #######!! Oh, that's right you're not old, my son is three years older than you, makes me feel positively antiquated!!
Any way if you're not on the thread tomorrow and I forget to post it Happy, happy Birthday, hope it's a great one and I hope that all your birthday wishes come true!!
Natonstan already got his birthday wish - GC --- maybe he can wish for more approvals - one for each year! Happy Birthday Natonstan!

What I just noticed right now, is that on Friday they opened the Expedite Request and also opened a Service Request for taking longer than usual. I requested to be emailed for both responses and provided the same email address. Looks like the Service Request was finally sent to the National Benefits Center versus to El Paso, TX like all of the other Service Requests that I have opened in the past. The Service request now says that it was completed on March 28th, which was Saturday, but I never received an email. That was awfully quick for a Service Request based on past experiences. My work schedule has now changed, THANK GOD, and I will be getting out of work earlier now, so I think I will call again today after work to see why I was not emailed about Service Request. Maybe they saw my wife's case getting moved and quickly closed Service Request? Who knows, but I'll find out.
good luck!!!!

Congrats to MissSarahd and Ibq - nice to see more people getting approved. Hopefully, we will get a message soon -- our file date was April 14 with NPIW date of July 29....saying our prayers!

Hi guys, i was stressed thinking why things took so long. Untill i found this forum i realize im not the only one! Next month gonna be our first anniversery but still havent recieve any new since sep 2014. Have any one here recieved potential interview letter on Sep 10th 2014 like me? If you recieved same time, did you get any new from then? I just send my 1st status request from march 11th. No respond till now. Never been waiting this long in my life! Wish you all best of luck!
Sept letter? sorry to say you have a bit to wait still. We filed April 14, got the dreaded letter July 29th - at first we thought it would speed things up, but quickly learned an interview would have been a better route (as if we had a choice). We just filed our EAD/AP renewals (we waited hoping every day to hear about the GC. Some people just before us and even with our dates got their approval notice - so we figure our turn soon. Maybe today? Maybe another month? Maybe, maybe, maybe...ugh...some days I want to scream...
-
everyone is so positive - what an awesome way to start our week - lets go green, lets go green, lets go green

Good news guys! Just checked Immigration Timelines and we have another April filer approval. This person was approved on 3/14, just updated their timeline today. The AOS NOA is 4/15/14. No mention in timeline about NPIW or interview. Take a look:
And Natonstan approved this week --- we have the same filing date -- maybe we will get lucky and be able to join in the celebrations! Praying....
-
Yay! I checked my status today and it was saying the same message!!! (dated 3/16/2015) It used to say we received your documents on 3/14/2014.
I didn't check status to see the intermediate steps so I didnt know if this had to do with the green card or not, nor did we get any text messages. This website was poorly done, or maybe I got used to staring at "3/14/2014" for a year. I totally skipped the image above saying "Welcome Notice Was Mailed".
It took us 1 year + 2 days of waiting (since NOA1).
I'm going out drinking.
CONGRATS! we are at 11 months, so maybe in another month? early in this process, i thought the interview waiver was a good thing, now i wish we would have had an interview...
-
I got another text last night saying my case was updated to 'Welcome Notice mailed'
:)
CONGRATS! (and jealous - can't wait to get our text msg...sigh...one can hope, right?)
-
@natonstan Congrats again -- i just followed your suggestion and filled out ombudsman. at least someone in the group was approved - there is progress - encouraging - definitely encouraging!
-
Im about to collapse, I'm at work shaking!!!! I just got the update to say to check my tracking and I look and its On March 16, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSCXXXXXX9, and will mail it to the address you gave us.
I am speechless - I have watched your posts for so long. I am so happy for you. We have the same date as you for our waiver letter - does this mean we are soon? or maybe we need to file the ombudsman?
Congrats again! WOW!
-
it looks like several are having rough days today. all this GC stuff just adds to it. frankly, i don't think its the waiting that's the problem, its the unknown of when it will be approved - and the lack of information along the way. anyway, hang in there --

GUESS WHAT - I was traveling on business and when I got off the plane, I got the miracle text -- we got our GC approved May 8th. See our timeline for info -- it took us approximately 13 months from filing AOS, an RFE for a follow-up medical - but we are approved! Thank God!
Thank you to everyone participating in this forum, it has helped us understand so much along the way - the process, the delays, knowing we weren't alone, etc....and to all still waiting, hang in there...the good news finally comes...
