  1. An update on my case -

My AOS was finally approved on 5/22/17 (840 days after initial filing)

My category was backlogged and USCIS only resumed processing my case this January.

As a frequent traveller, I'm so glad that I can finally stop going into secondary for stamping, as is required when traveling with Advance Parole. I'm applying for Global Entry to hopefully skip the lines at all.

Best of luck to everyone for your Removal of Conditions/Citizenship applications!!!

  2. Don't know if this is the same situation for others; or if others of you have gotten separate emails and letters for EAD and AP; and if any of you have a status change shown for AP on the Website.

My AP and EAD status were changed to approved on the same day (3/30). The physical AP approval letter came about five days later and the EAD approval letter came two days after that. Then EAD status changed to card mailed on 4/6 and the actual card arrived on 6/9. Thus it takes them about a week to produce and mail the card. They send the card via 2-day priority mail.

  3. So can you clarify what visa you actually had when you applied for AOS and why you sent to CSC?

I had an F-1 visa when I applied for AOS.

My AOS was based on an approved I-526 (employment-based fifth preference) petition. Per I-485 instructions, AOS based on approved I-526 should be sent to the Dallas lockbox and routed to CSC for processing.

I believe that most follows here are filing family-based AOS, which are sent to Chicago lockbox and routed to NBC.

I hope this clarifies things a bit.
