  1. It is just a simple document where you list the dates and any important event(s) taken place on those dates. For example:

    01 JAN 2014

I met my fiancee on xxxxxx and sent her email. We exchanged emails for the next 999 days...

    02 FEB 2014

We exchanged phone numbers blah, blah, blah...

    03 MAR 2014

I called my fiancee for the first time. blah blah blah...

so on and so forth. Make sure that you date/sign it ahd have it notarized. Make a couple of copies (for the interview and record keeping). Don't forget to include the following paragraph (or something similar to this) in the timeline, preferrably right above your signature:

I, <name>, hereby swear that the information provided in this Relationship Timeline is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge. I shall take full legal responsibility under the law for any fraudulent or inaccurate information listed herein.

    .

    .

    signature - date

Thank you so much for your help. I will start working on this today.

  2. Hi VJers,

It's early in the process, and i'm hoping to get a CC in about a month or so, and trying to figure out what is needed for the next step. Might be too early and maybe too positive, but just trying to be prepared.

With your interviews, what were some of the stuff you guys recommend brining along?

    Pictures

    ?

Timeline? I've read a few post saying that you're going to get a blue slip if you don't have a timeline ( this was posted in 2009 though) so I'm not sure if anything has changed. I've also read that some suggest just having it as reference and I've looked at some of the samples (thank you for sharing that guys), but does it really need to be notarized?

Also if you would do it, would you need to be very detailed? I would assume that the interviewer wouldn't spend much time reading it, rather just look for the specific dates of events ?

    thank you

Luuke, where did you see the samples? Do you mind sharing them? I am very interested in checking them out.

  3. Sorry everybody, I know this is an old thread, but does anybody know if a timeline of relationship is still required? Or if they may even ask for it these days? I have no idea on how to make one, and I cannot find any examples on VJ. Does anybody have any examples to share? I would highly appreciate it!
