Hello!
I am probaby posting this is the wrong discussion and I am sorry for that. But I have a question.
I came to USA on K1 visa, now married. In progress of chaging my status.
In a year or so I would like to go to college/university and get education, can I apply for federal financial aid programms/scholarships? I am a little bit confused, I remember reading somewhere that I can't, but some people are saying that I can. Please help me, thank you!

yes, if daughter arrived on K-2 visa, you need a complete set of Adjustment of Status Paperwork for her.
The I-765/EAD is useful - you can work before the green card arrives.
Please refer to the Guide in Guides Section, best studied when logged in from a PC [as handphones absolutely suck when doing real study and research here]
Thank you so much!
Yes, she did arrive on K-2 visa.

Hello everyone!
I have a questions (might be stupid but honestly I am confused). I got married to my fiancee and I am filling out documents for Green Card and I can not figure out if I have to fill something out for my daughter who is 7 years old? And do I have to fill out I-765? I mean do I need this while my case is being processed or will I need it even if I will have a green card? (I think I might've confused someone with this question, I am sorry)
Thank you

I received my visa after 8 moths of administrative process

Ready, but at least some status change, right?
True We don't have any updates
-
Our status switched to "ready" over night. Does anyone else have any news?
Ready or Issued? We don't have any news yet
-
Just checked my status and it was last updated on June 16th and I received the phoe call from embassy.
-
That's weird. maybe they thought that your case is a fraud and decided to check it again at USCIS or something. I'm sorry
Our case was updating daily (it didn't update today) and now I wonder if that's a good sign...
We're being patient, it is ok,we will wait as long as we need to even though I really miss him and want to be with him as soon as possible
-
If they've send your documents to USCIS then I don't know how long would it take...
I hope everything will be ok later
Does your status at ceac.org updates frequently? Or not?
I've received a phone call from the embassy on June 16th and did another interview with them over the phone for about an hour, then they've called ex husband and asked him a lot of questions. But they didn't call my fiance. He tried to call them and ask them what's going on but they said they can't give any information to him over the phone.
No, not frequently, about once a week.
-
I've got an Administrative processing also (other reasons) and it's been over 3 months now, even though the officer at the embassy said it should not take longer than 2 weeks

What should I do if I have already submitted my appliction for the interview without her DS 160 application. Send them a letter with additional information or call them?
-
Thank you everyone! One more question, do I need to schedule an interview for her?
-
Hello!
I am from Ukraine. I filled our DS 160 for myself, and it asked questions about my child. I wrote that I will be traveling with her (she is 7). But I don't understand, do I need to fill out a separate DS 160 application for her? Will she get a visa automatically or does she need an interview? Can I submit a new DS 160 application? Please help! The interview is very soon and I am afraid that Idid something wrong.

Hi, I have a question about studying. I amthankful for any help!
I came here on K-1visa and got married Right now in the process of Adjustment of Status, waiting for our interview.
When can I enroll into college? After I get my greencard? Is the tuition different for US citizens? WillI be able to apply for financial aid?
I understand that I can enroll now, but then my husband willhave to fillout a lot of documents and the tuition will be much higher, right? Thank you!
