  1. Congrats Averys!!

By the way, if you recall, our passports were reqeusted by the Embassy two weeks ago for visa issuance. our status were the following:

    Me - Administrative Processing

    Wife - Administrative Processing

Daughter (2yrs) - Ready (since the interview date)

Yesterday, I've noticed that my daughter status was changed to Administrative Processing! what does this mean? is it a good sign?

  2. Hi Dears,

Our case has been put in AP for months. Days ago, the embassy sent us a request to provide them with our passports for visa issuance.

The passports have been received by the embassy on 13 April.

It's been 9 days now and the status still read "Administrative Processing" but many changes occurred to the status date.

What do you think as to when the status would be changed to ISSUED?

  3. Congratulations mate! Happy for you.

It's almost the same up here. I'v applied for an immigrant visa and my case has been put in AP for months. Days ago, the Embassy sent me an Email requesting our passports and their email said "In order to proceed to the final step of your visa issuance".

It's been 9 days now since the Embassy received our passports and our status date kept changing but the status still reads "Administrative Processing"! I can't just imagine how long it would take to be changed to "ISSUED"?

    Any idea?

    Thanks

  4. As you may know, I have been but in AP for months after interveiw. lately, the Embassy has requested our passports to be turned in, in order to proceed to the final step of visa issuance (this is what Embassy's email said). However, the passports have been delivered and received by the Embassy on 13 April 2015. Since then, the CEAC shows that updates in status dates happened in 13,14,15 and 17 April, but the status still read "Administrative Processing"!

It's been a week now since the passports received by the Embassy and the status haven't changed to Ready or Issued as yet!

Is it something will I need to worry about? Any idea?

    Thanks alot

  5. Hi VJ family,

I've applied for immigrant visa long time ago for me and my immediate family as well. After interview, our case put under AP for months. Days ago, I've received an email from the Embassy requesting to send our passports and medical exams.

First, is this a good indiction?

The Medical exams and passports have been received by the Embassy on 13 April. Updates in status date happened on 13,14 and 15 April and the status still read "Administrative Processing".

How long it would take for the status to be changed from AP to issued?

It's been 3 days now the Embassy received our required docs but no change in status!

    Any advice?

    Thanks

  6. Thanks mate for your prompt response.

What I meant actually was that the ball in my court and I should provide them with the requested docs, so that they can proceed further with my case and then i can see updates occuring. The last update was on 07 April which when they sent me that email to submit passports. I thought the updates will start over when they received my passports. Today I sent the requested docs by mail, but the update happened yesterday?!

So, the main question, what kind of update happened (Yesterday) without receving my passports?

Second question, how many days should I expect from today (Embassy should now received my docs) unitl they get issued?

    Thanks

  7. Hi VJ,

As some of you know, I have been in AP for months and last week I've received an Email from the Embassy requesting to send the Medical Exams and Passports (that Email was on 07 April 2015). Since then, there were no more updates on my case in CEAC as it's my action now to provide the requested docs.

I am keep working to finalise these docs and send them back to the Embassy the soonest, but yesterday 12 April 2015 I noticed another update to my case in CEAC! What does this mean? There should be no more update (logically) unitl they received the exams and passports!

    Any advice?

    Cheers

  8. Hi,

As you may know, my immigrant visa application was put on AP since 18 Dec 2014. Since then, my status update date was changed twice.

First change was on the day following my inteview at US Embassy 19 Dec 2014

Second change was 20 Feb 2015

This morning at 8:30am local time, I noticed another change to the status update date which is today's date 17 Mar 2015.

Today's update was for all family members (The Principal Applicant and accompanied wife and daughter)!

FYI ... All updates were without me sending emails or giving calls to check on status.

This is the first time the update made for all family. Is there any readable indication for this? Also, I believe the update was made by the Embassy and not by states due to the time difference and the status was checked until yesterday night and no change.

    Any idea?

    Thanks

  9. Hi aroyd28,

Let me first ask you where did you lodge your application at?

As long as the Embassy has requested your passport (after a long wait time in AP), then this a really good sign! A friend of mine has been into the same scenario and the visa was issued after a few days upon the submission of the passport.

Can you throw some light onto my case updates:

    Interview date: 18 Dec 2014

First Update: 18 Dec 2014 (Administrative Processing)

Second Update: 19 Dec 2014 (Administrative Processing)

Third Update: 20 Feb 2015 (Administrative Processing)

    That's it ???

    Thanks
