ccasinobill got a reaction from tayurshu in Attorney or rapid visa services?
    Hi!
I spent the money for Rapid Visa and even paid the additional money for extra checking. The did catch one mistake, I only copied the first pages of my passport when you clearly have to copy every single page even if there is no entry.
Beyond that I found them beyond useless...... I would ask questions and receive multiple conflicting answers. It became completely obvious that their people are barely trained at all and are responding from prewritten scripts. I had to repeat and rephrase some questions numerous times.
We finally gave up and withdrew our K-1,I-129 and I'm traveling there to get married in Leyte where my fiance lives. I will probably stay quite a long time and attempt to do a Direct Consular Filing.
Comments written on this forum have been a tremendous help and there is NO reason to use any service or attorney if you are extremely careful and pay attention to the fine print. Read the instructions, do the papers, read the instructions again, read the oapers again. It really isn't all that complex. Paying RapidVisa and paying for the I-129 is now money down the toilet. In my opinion attorneys are worse.
I consulted and attorney and it would have cost approximately $2000-$2500 for my fiance and her daughter. I have since learned that vital information that told me was grossly inaccurate!!!!! This was on a significant issue!!! Your best source of information are the Embassy website, USCIS website and of course this web forum is absolutely vital. I have learned an incredible amount here.
    Thanks folks!!!!
