My joint sponsor earns 62,000 per year and only has one in the household (himself). He is already stateside so I'm hoping him being a sponsor will help.
-
he had an Australian tax return report stating his pay for the past 2 years has sat at 48,000. No assets. Now I'm confused why she didn't approve me because it was only the affidavit of support holding me back

Hi all
I went for my interview at the consulate a couple days ago. I wasn't declined or approved. In fact she sent me away saying I need to find a joint sponsor as my husbands $48,000 per year didn't meet the guidelines. She said For a family of 4 ( we have two kids) it'll be just over $90,000. Is this right?? My joint sponsor earns $62,000 so I'm hoping they will combine with my husbands pay. $90,000 just seems like too much. And the officer kept my passport and original docs even though she didn't approve me...

FINALLY after 5 weeks my case has been sent to the embassy!!
-
No they have not
-
They email and in total took about 6 days. Just depends how fast the consulate gives a response back to NVC
-
What visa are you applying for?? I have been told not to send or pay anything til the consulate receives it and they give me instructions on what to do next
-
So apparently all supervisors were unavailable to talk and I should call back in about a month and see if my case has been sent then #######!! Ughhh
-
Yep mine still says in process after 11 days

I had my expedite request approved before I got a case number in mid January. I just received my case number on feb 19 and they still haven't sent it out. Is anyone else in the same situation?? At first I was given different stories that I shouldn't pay or send anything and then another rep told me the opposite. I went ahead filled out the choice of agent and paid my AOS bill and 9 days later it's still processing. 2 weeks ago I received an email that the file was being sent immediately but still is sitting at NVC. I'm so frustrated right now can anyone shed some light on what I should do or why it might be taking so long. thanks guys
-
Don't expect for it to be sent straight away if approved. Ive been waiting almost 4 weeks since approval
-
Your case is under review and you should be getting a decision in the next few days. Your request gets sent to the consulate and they are the ones who decide.

You should contact USCIS military hotline OR find out from on base whether or not expedited naturalisation is something they do there for you guys. We had it in Okinawa but you have to be there on orders and be there while it's being processed.
-
Just to confirm you mean USCIS and not NVC?
-
I think I found the code but if it doesn't work I'll go ahead and pay through a family members account. Thanks!
-
Just wondering how you have paid for your AOS and IV bills on ceac?? My bank can only give me a swift code, not a routing number and now since i don't have a US bank account I'm totally lost how to pay my fees!!
-
If you were married you could have done expedited naturalisation in Okinawa. I know this because i lived there (former military) - we just didn't have enough time once we found out about it.

NVC received my case on 21st Jan and i had my expedite request approved less than 2 weeks later. Just over a week ago i received my case number. I was told by NVC in the email they will send the file to the consulate as soon as they are finished with entering case info into their system and assigning a case number (and they have no timeframe). My AOS bill is waiting to be paid - one representative says pay it and the other says don't pay it. Im so confused.
Is anyone else experiencing a delay with their expedite?????
-
Is anyone experiencing a delay with NVC sending out an expedited file to the U.S. embassy??? My expedite was approved 4 weeks ago, received a case number 10 days ago and my file is still sitting at NVC.
-
I've already received my case number last Friday but my case was expedited a couple days after NVC Received it (before I had the case number). Now NVC have no idea about the expedite even though it's been approved so they can't tell me what I'm supposed to do
-
I think your a bit confused.
I'm applying for IR-1 but I had my case expedited 3 weeks ago.. It was approved but NVC have no record of it on their system so they are confused
-
Sorry I get confused but yes it was the DS261. Hm Im thinking if I still have to send everything to NVC, there was obviously no point having the case expedited
-
I am IR-1 and it took 30 days from the time NVC received it
-
I had my case expedited 3 weeks before I got a case number. I've filled out my DS260 and now im not sure whether or not to go ahead and pay the first bill (AOS). NVC are as confused as I am... Go figure. Any ideas anyone????
Confused about poverty guidelines...
