First of all, your English is perfect
Second of all THANK YOU. Although I'm not sure there is anything we can do about this today, I am so thankful for your information. Just to know all that is great. It sounds like you were very close to having the same problem as us! Maybe we just had someone who is in a bad mood or not as well trained I am waiting for my caseworker still but I just forwarded your story to her! Thanks again!!
Thank you ! ahah
You're welcome, we are here to help each other . Yea it was close and I had a little panic attack when she said the invitation was missing. But In front of my insistence she abandoned and just told me to see with the person at the guichet.
It's always a hard time when at the last moment something goes wrong after all that wait, but hopefully it will be back on track for you ! Good luck for the rest of your journey !

Hello ( I apologize for my rusty english ^^)
I had my interview June 25th at Paris Embassy too.
Out of the embassy the guards let me in without any problem (and they let in my mother also which surprised me !)
But at the front office where they gave you the ticket, a young lady ask me about the "invitation" with the Embassy logo on top but I just had the confirmation of payment with me where it says the date and time of the interview. She said to me it was not that but I insisted that I didn't receive any other email and she gave me my ticket and let me in.
After when i was called at the guichet the first time to let them know I was there, the lady told me that the invitation is only for the people who have to come from outside France ! If you live in France the confirmation page should be enough.
But I suggest you to not give up with your caseworker because this is a mistake from THEM.

Sinon, question :
Doit-on emmener les originaux (tax returns, W2, etc.) ?
Voila, voila ! J'espere que ça t'as aidé ! Bon courage

For what I understand :
- Those who signed and sent the DS-160 AFTER June 9th => Interview have to be rescheduled (I would still call the embassy to be sure, maybe they don't cancel the interviews in every country/embassy..)
- Those who signed and sent the DS-160 BEFORE June 9th => Interview is still available
- Those who had their interview AFTER June 9th => They will have to wait until the technical issue is fixed and for their visa to be printed.
As simple as that !
Hope I helped.
Cheers !

I hope it won't last as long as the glitch of last year ! Almost a month of delay from what I read...
I have my interview scheduled for very soon and I was hoping to book a flight before the end of July.. It's really not the good timing for this to happen !!
At the end, our visa journey can be resume by a ONE simple word :
WAIT -
Ok everyone..
I think it couldn't be worst at this point ... Here is some bad news for all of us
Technological Systems Issue
JUNE 12, 2015Passport/Visa Systems Errors- The Bureau of Consular Affairs is currently experiencing technical problems with our overseas passport and visa systems.
- This issue is not specific to any particular country, citizenship document, or visa category.
- The Consular Consolidated Database (CCD) problems we are experiencing are not the same challenges we overcame last summer. We are working urgently to correct the problems and restore our system to full operational status as soon as possible.
- We apologize to applicants who are experiencing delays or are unable to obtain a passport overseas, Consular Report of Birth Abroad, or U.S. visa at this time. Domestic passport issuances are not affected at this time. We are able to issue emergency passports to U.S. citizens overseas for urgent travel.
- We are seeking to assist non-immigrant visa applicants with urgent humanitarian travel. Travelers with an urgent humanitarian need for travel should contact their nearest U.S. embassy or consulate.
- We are aware of pending overseas adoption cases, including in China. We are prioritizing these cases and seek to issue these visas with few delays.
- We regret the inconvenience to travelers, and remain committed to facilitating legitimate travel while protecting our borders. We are working urgently to correct the problem and expect our system to be fully operational again soon.
- We will post updates to Travel.State.Gov as more information becomes available.
Q: Is this the same issue as last year? Was it not fixed?
- This is not the same issue as last year.
Q: What is going on? Why can’t the Department issue visas, passports, and other travel documents?
- We are working as quickly as possible to pinpoint the root cause of our technical issues.
- We apologize to travelers and recognize that this may cause hardship to individuals waiting for visas and passports overseas.
Q: How is this affecting consular operations?
Passports- Passport applications accepted overseas on or after May 26, 2015 are affected. If you applied for a U.S. passport during this time frame and have travel plans within the next 10 business days, please consider requesting an emergency passport at the U.S. embassy or consulate at which you originally applied. Information about how to apply for an emergency passport is available on the website of the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate.
Visas
- A hardware failure on June 9 halted the flow of biometric clearance requests from posts to the Consular Consolidated Database (CCD). Individuals who submitted online applications or were interviewed for visas on or after June 9 may experience a delay in the processing.
- The systems in place to perform required national security checks before we issue visas are experiencing technical difficulties. As a result, we are unable to print visas, regular passports overseas, and other travel documents.
- We cannot bypass the legal requirements necessary to screen visa applicants before we issue visas for travel.
- As a result, there is a backlog of visas waiting to be processed. We are working as quickly as possible to resolve the issue and to clear the backlog.
- The technical issues we are experiencing have disrupted or prevented some of the Department’s primary data-share partners from accessing visa records.
Q: Can you print a visa without using the data system?
- Security measures prevent consular officers from printing a passport, report of birth abroad, or visa until the case completes the required national security checks.
- Service to our customers will be interrupted until the system is brought back online.
Q: Can the Department just print travel letters for those who need to travel quickly?
- At this time we are able to issue passports to U.S. citizens overseas for emergency travel.
- Domestic passport operations are not affected at this time. U.S. citizens applying for a passport domestically will receive passports within the four-to-six week standard for routine passports.
- We are seeking to assist nonimmigrant visa applicants with urgent humanitarian travel. Please contact the embassy or consulate where you applied for additional information.
Q: What caused this outage? Was it a malicious action or hack?
- There is no evidence the problem is cyber security related. We are working urgently to correct the problem and expect the system to be fully operational again soon.
Q: How long before you restore full system functionality?
- We do not yet have a timeline. We are working urgently to identify the problem and correct it. We expect the systems to be fully operational again soon.

L'endroit ouvre a 8h45.
-
Yeah, I don't get it either. I guess it makes people feel better that their case is moving though.
The DS-160 just needs the SRC number. Your medical (at least in Vietnam) *does* need your case number though. I think that's the only place I've run into so far where I've needed it.
Ok thank you
Good luck all of you !!
-
What number are you talking about? We did the ds-160 like two weeks ago but I don't remember seeing invoice number? Are you referring to the application number and the case number given from the NVC? Those are the only ones I remember of them asking.
Are you confusing the D160 form with the ustraveldocs form? We did get ask a receipt number so that we could schedule the interview..
I have seen a lot of people applying for the K1 visa saying they need to call NVC to get the case number, the invoice number and the beneficiary number.. But I have made some research and those numbers appear to be only asked for paying the visa fees for the CR1 visa (those already married) That's why I don't understand why K1 visa people need those number !! I thought maybe I was missing a point ..
But if all of you say that we only need the SRCxxxxxxx number and the embassy/consulate number to complete the DS160 and schedule the interview It's perfectly fine to me I just was wondering if we really need to call NVC for that. Apparently no, so everything is fine
-
Hello everybody
I saw that many of you may already have completed the DS-160.. My question is : Do we really need the invoice number and beneficiary number ? And if so, what are they for ?
I have seen that we need those number only for complete an another form DS-260 and not DS-160.. If somebody can explain to me I will be grateful thank you !
Cheers
Nobody ?
Please I really need to know if I need to get the Invoice number and beneficiary number.. I'm about to complete DS-160 and it will be great if somebody could explain to me !!

Merci beaucoup Lauren & Igor !!

Merci

Hello everybody !
Today things moved so fast.. I just learn that NVC received our case on May 11th, and it's already on it's way to embassy !! Omg it's an amazing feeling when things go fast like that !!
CHEERS !

-
So cool!!!
When are you leaving?
What is AP ?
Hello Curlies !
Merciii

Good evening everyone I hope that all is well. I am currently with my fiancé our interview is tomorrow morning. I am extremely nervous and at the same after close to 8 months of waiting I am so ready for this process to be over.
Omg you are so lucky to be at the finish line !! Good luck for tomorrow and please let us know how was the interview
-
Hallelujaaaaaah !! Finally I left the black hole called usually TSC !! Our case was sent to NVC yesterday ! My fiancé received a text a 1030 exactly !
CHEERS !
-
Hello everybody !! Just to let you all know my case was sent to NVC yesterday, FINALLY !! I was worried for nothing but thanks for those who supported me
We are moving by baby steps but we are moving !! Yoo-hoo !
Good luck for those still waiting at TSC, the wait is worthy

This is the number; (603) 334-0700
http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/nvc/nvc-contact-information.html
Thanks !
-
My approval was 4/20 as well. On April 30th, I received a text and email stating that my petition had been sent to the NVC the day before, on April 29th. I could see this stats in the case tracker website too. Thus it was not 2 days nor 1 week for me but rather 9 mother-lovin days that it SAT in the friggin TSC before being shipped. I've seen reports of it not arriving to the NVC for as long as 2 weeks! I certainly hope it doesn't take that much time, but we'll see. Anyway, in your case the only thing you can do is to call the NVC as wbeem has mentioned or wait for the case status to be updated. Let us know what happens.
Yea I think I can do nothing more than call them and wait.. I'm a very patient person but since I know about TSC my patience is really really being tested.
I will let you know when I get some news, thank you
Anyway, somebody can tell me what is the number to contact NVC about a K1 visa please ? And what is the best time to call them ? Thank you so much everyone !
Refused entry at embassy even w/ interview confirmation
in US Embassy and Consulate Discussion
Posted
Well I had the packet 3 with me and that's when she saw it that she told it was something like that with the same logo on top. I only could show her my confirmation page where it says I paid 252euros (visa fees) and where it states the date and time of the interview with all my informations (name, passport number..)
I think it depends on the person at the front desk.. The young lady was very antipathetic with us, happily for me I didn't let go anything and insisted !!
