  1. Hi I have a question is it 60 days from the payment or 60 day from POE? if you dont mind me asking, when you did the e-request what case number did you use for them to give you an update?

It is 60 days from the POE, a representative told me this when I called USCIS. She said they wouldn't even look into where the card is until 60 days from POE have passed. I entered at SFO on July 15 and the email response from the erequest said they mailed it on Sept 8, so just shy of 60 days. When filing the erequest I gave them all the information I had: my NVC case number and the alien number on the IV VISA, when and where I entered, when I paid the ELIS. This was apparently enough as they managed to reply.

  2. HI I am in the same situation I never received anything I have no idea how to track that green card

yep ...how do we track now I never received that IOE number to track

I never did received a case number or status notifications, however, I did received my GC out of the blue last week. I received a reply to an erequest I filed on USCIS's website telling me they mailed me card and provided me with a tracking number. They mailed it to the wrong address, however. I provided an address during my entry at the POE, but I assume it did not get updated in their system as my card was sent to my lawyer's office. I did wonder if any notifications went to the office also, and just didn't get forwarded. It took just under 60 days for me to receive my GC.

  3. Hello all!

I am looking for some clarification on the ELIS process as I feel like i have have fallen through a crack somewhere....

Paid ELIS fee - July 10

    POE - July 15 SFO

Since then I have received no case status updates and I have not received a receipt from USCIS with a IOE receipt number. Is this normal? I cannot check the wesbite as it says my access has been removed. I did receive a receipt for paying the ELIS fee from admingov. What is the normal process after paying the fee and entering at POE? I will try to call USCIS, but I was wondering if my situation is normal or not.

    Thanks!

  4. I was approved on the 23rd June and since then my CEAC status continues to say 'ready' as if I haven't already had my interview. The 'case creation' date has remained the same but the 'updated date' was changed to the 26th June, then to the 29th June and has remained the same since.

I know they were having worldwide issues but according to the UK sub forum people from the day before me got received their visas from the courier after 8 days and this was supposedly during the backlog. By the 23rd the London Visa Unit was back to issuing.

Should I be worried or concerned or is this all normal?

I interviewed the same day as you, and my status still says 'READY' too. I hope that by the end of this week the visa will be issued. I assumed they had still been battling with the backlog, and we just weren't lucky enough to get processed last week.

  5. Oh my goodness! I literally cannot believe this. My interview is meant to be this Tuesday. I desperately hope they do not reschedule me. I never fail to be surprised by the incompetence of government systems in the United States

From what I read on the U.S. embassy's website, it seems those non-immigrants that have submitted the DS-160 after June 9th may have their appointments rescheduled. As you are categorised as an immigrant, and submitted the DS-260 during the NVC stage way before June 9th, I pressume your appointment should not be rescheduled. This is the reasoning I am applying to my situation too, to give me hope that my appointment will not be changed either.

  6. Have you looked at sendmybag.com? It's a company that ships your luggage at a lower cost than an airline would charge for excess baggage. The rates seem quite reasonable, and you can ship boxes in addition to suitcases. If you are planning on moving furniture and other bulky items, then I don't think this would work for you, but for books, coats and the like, it may be an option for you to look into. I think I will use this company when I finally move.

  7. Hi All,

My employer is currently in the process of sponsoring me for permanent resident status - under the EB-2 category. I am currently on a H1-B visa (expires in September 2015). My extensions for the H1-B is also underway.

Wondering if anyone can shed any light on how long ETA9089's are taking for processing. My attorney filed on 2/10 and said approximately 5.5 months. Just checking to see what anyone else is experiencing?

    Thanks,

    Lee

    Hello Lee!

I don't know how relevant my information is to you, but I thought I would share it anyway. My labour certificate was filed in April 2014 and approved at the end of September 2014, so about 5.5 months. I'm not sure if current processing times differ. My story did not turn out well, however. My H1-B extension expired at the end of September also, and it took 5 weeks for the lawyers to receive the certified hard copy required to file premium processing of the I-140, so I ran out of time and had to move back to Britain for consular processing instead of AOS....and I'm still here waiting. It is unusual for it to take that long,,...I was unlucky.

As yours was filed in February, it should be okay, as long as it is a solid application and not audited. I would think you can get your I-140 filed before September. I wish you luck, I know how stressful this process is!

  8. Out of curiosity, did you actually email the embassy or use the contact form on their site?

I used the contact form on their website. I didn't receive anything in the post today, but I am quite far away from London, so maybe on Monday or Tuesday. As the interview letter is referred to as a letter, and it is sent via a PDF email attachment, I had wondered if this was true here. I guess we'll find out next week. Have a good weekend!

  9. That's possible I guess. You would think the NVC would know that though if they have to wait for the embassy to tell them it's okay to schedule. What do you suggest? Try reaching the embassy or wait for the embassy to contact us?

The embassy replied to the email and confirmed that my appointment has been moved to 1 PM too. I presume the same is true for your appointment. The email said a letter was sent to me on May 15, I wonder if they sent it via postal mail as I haven't received an email from them today, other than the reply to my email. The email confirmed that all May and June appointments will occur in the afternoon. This has messed up my plans :-(

  10. That's possible I guess. You would think the NVC would know that though if they have to wait for the embassy to tell them it's okay to schedule. What do you suggest? Try reaching the embassy or wait for the embassy to contact us?

I emailed the embassy this morning to see if my appointment will be rescheduled or not. I will update when they reply.

  11. My interview is still scheduled for 9:00 am on June 23. I received the interview letter a week ago. My case just arrived in London so I am waiting to see if they now reschedule me for an afternoon slot. I hope this is not the case as I already booked the hotel thinking I would have to arrive early.

Just got off the phone with NVC. They confirmed our interview was scheduled yesterday and is scheduled for June 16th @ 9am.

Anyone else in London with a morning time still scheduled and around that date? No email yet with the confirmation this was only over the phone tonight.

  12. I know this forum is for family and marriage based applications, but I am having a hard time finding any information/data on employment based applications going through the NVC. My case was closed March 31, my priority date is April 18 2014 and the bulletin is current for my category. I still have not been scheduled for an interview though, I see other people going through London with CC dates after mine have already been scheduled. I call the NVC and I get the generic response. Does anyone know if NVC shows priority to family based petitions, due to their sheer number? I know it's a long shot as everyone here is more familiar with the family based ones, but it is driving me crazy!
