Yes, I realize what I should have done.. But now I'm trying to figure out what I need to do. Is it going to be as easy as getting the SSN after I get EAD? Or will there be complications because of status because of not being a permanent resident yet? That is what I'm trying to understand.

So I'm trying to figure out if I've messed up or what.. I've been in the states since March 7th, and have gotten married, sent in papers for AOS and EAD, and I also just about 2 weeks ago went to have my biometrics taken for both, as well.. 90 days has been up, since June 6th, and I got to thinking... I didn't apply/get my SSN because I didn't really know much about it, I didn't see the significance because I still couldn't do anything without EAD, or AOS... because I figured that if I got my EAD, I'd be able to start working.. After reading around here, I'm becoming to get the impression that it's not that easy.. So basically, my question is.. How do I go about getting my SSN now?? Am I going to have to wait even longer now, until status has been adjusted?? I'm going crazy not being able to work, or do anything.. I'm hoping I didn't back myself into a corner.. Any advice or help would be appreciated.. thanks so much.. and if this is a question that has been asked numerously, my apologies... Thanks again.

Awesome that the interview went well for you!
I have my interview tomorrow... and of course, I'm very nervous..
you mentioned a letter of intent? I've heard that mentioned around this site often.. what exactly is it, and do you recommend having one especially for the interview?
potentially stupid question
