  1. Hello everyone. I am in the process of filing AOS for my wife. She came with K-1 visa. She has DS-3025 form. I looked through it and noticed that at least one vaccine (Rubella) was not completed. Do we need to go to the doctor to get I-693 done, just to be in safe side, or do you think that DS-3025 is sufficient. It was issued on August 21, 2015. Thank you for your input.

  2. Thank you M&A2.

    Any other point of view...?

No red flags or anything exculpatory or negative, but it is just illogical to submit everything, over 1000 pages, they will not have time to review all them. we do not submit package 3 in advance in our embassy.

I also have visited 4 times, we have over 30 new pictures to submit. I have some cards, few phone calls, a lots of Skype logs and viber, whtasapp chats, etc...

  3. Hello everyone, I have a quick question for those who have a successful interview for K1.

How much proof is too much, or how much proof is sufficient. We have over 1000 pages of conversations conducted via WhatsApp, Viber and Skype.

Do we have to print thousands of pages and take them with us for the interview...? or can we just take several pages per month...?

    Thank you!

  4. Hello everyone. I need your input.

Our approved I-129f has been expired due to "no interview date was available'. I have already emailed the embassy and requested an extension. Our interview has been scheduled now. I have received the response that the approval will be revalidated during the time of the interview...

My question is this....Should we take the request to extend I-129f letter with us to our interview and provide...? or we should not provide it as part of the packet unless we asked...?

  5. Has anyone ever filed an immigrant petition on your behalf with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services?

Does this question include the current petition or not...? Is the answer is yes or no..? (if this is the first time in reference to k1 visa).

I saw the answer is "NO" in the sample in this site. Am I overthinking...?

    Thank you.

  6. Thank you for your clarification. I asked the embassy when would they schedule our k-1 visa interview since it has been two months since they received our case, and they response was that NVC does. Although I provided my case information, I did not mention that it was for K1. My message was a reply, and the person who replied back most likely did not review that it was for k1 visa....

  7. Thanks. The confusion is due to the invitation letter we have received from the Embassy, the letter does not mention "Over 16 Only".

Police Certificates: Applicants are required to submit a police certificate from the country of the applicant’s nationality and current residence, if residence in such country exceeds six months. Police certificates are also required from all other countries where the applicant has resided for at least one year. Regardless of the length of residence, a police certificate must also be obtained from the police authorities of any place where the applicant has been arrested for any reason (except for the US).

    • Police certificates from your present country of residence and all countries where you have lived for six months or more since age 16 (Police certificates are also required for accompanying children age 16 or older)

    Any other point of view...?

  8. Thank you. I definitely will do, this topic is in reference to K-1 visa. This particular Embassy requires: "Police certificates are also required from all other countries where the applicant has resided for at least one year." Intrinsically two year old child will not have any record, and she will not be able to obtain a police certificate from the country that she visited when she was 2. What should we do...?

  9. First of all this site is very informative and helpful. I would suggest and encourage everyone to post their experience and knowledge here and support other members.

I have a question. If a beneficiary visited to another country when she was 2 years old then moved back to her home country approximately a year later , does she needs to get a police certificate from that country? I know that some embassies require to obtain a police certificate if you resided after age 16, and other embassies don't mention the age requirement at all, but require a police certificate if you live over a year.
