  1. Hi all,

Quick summary I was granted by initial 2 year GC in Dec 2015, moved here full time in March 2016 on a spouse Visa, my wife and I are still very much together. My conditions were lifted 2019, I've not been in any rush to file my N-400 and I'm now thinking of applying. Due to the length of time I've been in the country, and the fact I'm with my spouse do I apply under the 3 or 5 year rule. I think less documents are needed under the 5 year rule, but didn't know if there was a best practice. My timeline is upto date. Thanks in advance, Mike

  2. Hi

Not sure if this was pure coincidence but I believe it was Feb 19 i sent addition evidence covering the year after filing for ROC in Dec 2017. It seemed to nudge my file into moving to Nebraska from a June 18 California filer. I was then approved shortly after in March 2019. Might have been pure coincidence but cant hurt.

  3. Case updated today, new card being produced!

    WAC18075.....

Updating on my phone so will add notes here

Transferred to California 6/11/18 (stayed in the same place). Nothing until March 4th when I was transferred to Nebraska. March 13th "Date of Birth Updated", then today New Card is being produced. On a side note in Jan I had a feeling I hadn't sent the 2017 tax transcript in my original pack, so I sent a additional batch of evidence covering 2018 and the 2017 transcript to pre-empt any RFE (had no clue if it would be added to the original documents).

    Details below -

  4. WAC1807 here, Dec 2017 filer.

I was in the June 11th case transfers from California, that was transferred to California!

On Sat I received a biometrics letter saying fingerprints not needed, even though I had them re done in Jan 2018. Yesterday, and today I've received the same update (different date) that my case was transferred and a new office has jurisdiction. Not sure if I'm pleased the status changed, or confused as it makes no sense!

  5. Hi all,

Been a while since I posted, I sent my ROC pack last week, and after mailing I found some additional items that on retrospect I would have included. Once I receive my NOA is it possible to send additional documents to be included. I'll be waiting with the CSC for however long so figured if I send more in a month or two it won't hurt. Just wondered if anyone has done the same.

    Thanks

    Mike

  6. Everyone please don't worry as much. Realistically unless you have previous immigration history issues or might be from a red flag country there won't be an issue. I travelled backwards and forwards 6 times in the course of a year (from UK to US) whilst going through immigration proceedings, and before we married numerous times. Always stay honest feel free to take evidence of ties to home. My questioning ranged from 4 to 5 basic things to nothing at all! I know it's a worry as you never know who your going to get just be honest and breathe!

  7. If you have had chicken pox they just take your word for it. Unless you are a pregnant woman you probably won't be given the pertussis vaccine. More likely the diptheria tetanus polio booster. And I quoted the NHS choices website recommending all adults get the MMR as I'm 40 it wasn't offered when I was a child plus I would have needed a booster anyway. I received 2 doses 3 weeks apart. The Flu Jab I got at Super drug where they gave me a basic proof to show Knightsbridge. Any medical conditions ask your Dr receptionist to write a brief summary and for any depression based illness ask them to write "never any harm to themselves or others" (presuming that was never diagnosed - if so stating your now fine, etc). It saves any delays going prepared. The longer form just covers the same ground but worded slightly different.

  8. I took a messenger bag which was large enough to carry the essentials. I saw other larger bags in the embassy. Or the other option to place in the pharmacy near the embassy for a small charge. Like anything it might be which security is on at the time. With recent events I'm sure they are being extra vigilant.

  9. Yes I was going off pure guess work. Presuming they will either not mention it at the interview stage or he will have to have knightsbridge send the info across after he has been to the embassy. Either way if everything else is fine it should be a minor delay... SHOULD!
