  1. In the W-2 form there is no section for single or married. In the company you can inform your company to make your status as married. However I'm talking about something else. When you fill your tax forms to IRS every april, you need to select single/married jointly etc. When I selected married it asked for a SSN or tax ID number for spouse which she doesn't have. So I had to file single..
