Yep, i submitted my passport and visa page with old name on them. I didn't submit driver's license because i don't have one yet. You'll be fine. Goodluck on your Ead application.

I used my husband's surname on my ead application. I still have my maiden name on my passport. But i got approved with no RFE or anything.

Hey, I saw someone on the October 2015 AOS filer thread said their petition was rejected because they didn't separate the AOS and biometric fee from each other. I wasn't aware of this requirement.

Missouri, could you please let us know if yours gets accepted? I'm supposing this was in the guides or no?

We're still waiting for the receipt notice. They're supposed to get it two days ago. We used money orders. Two money orders because it's not allowed to pay more than $1,000 in one money order. So what we did we put $1000 in one money order and $70 in the other one. I guess it will be fine i searched here on vj that others had done it before with no prob.

I don't think you guys will have a problem. I think they will still cash your fee and process it as long as it's in the correct fee amount.

Hi guys! How's everyone doing?

It's been a while since i last posted on this forum but anyway i came in the US last 2 months ago and got married a month after. I just mailed my papers for aos,ead and ap today. But i think i made a mistake in filling out the money order i put the payment is for i-485 only instead of i-485 and biometric fee. Would that be okay?

Good news....

Melanie had her interview today and was approved. I got her text message at about 10pm here in California. She texted me a sad face and then a "denied" message. She waited a few minutes and then texted me a "HAHAHAHAHA I'M JOKING" message with about 50 thumbs up. Nice to have a feisty fiancee' with as warped sense of humor as mine.

She said the CO was really nice and asked only a few questions...

CO: "What attracted your fiance' to you"

Melanie: "He says it was my chicken legs" (She's 5'5" tall and 95 pounds)

She says the CO thought it was funny and laughed.

CO: "What are his hobbies"

Melanie: "He likes to watch TV and watch Laker games and car racing"

The CO asked only a few other questions and told her she was approved. Now she will do the CFO seminar Friday as we wait for visa issuance and delivery of the visa to the 2GO at MOA.

On a side note, I got the NVC letter in the mail on Saturday the 18th. Postmarked the 15th and dated the 1st of July. Thanks NVC for the timely service. "Ya think that would have been handy a couple of weeks ago when she was at her medical??

i have a friend though who got a weird status update on her ceac. We were interviewed on June 18.... It says refused... but she said her application was approved during the interview. she was not on 21g... I told her to contact the embassy tomorrow... hope nothing like that happens to anyone. she was freaking out.. and she crying.

Yeah it's better to call them. What was written under the refused word?

I just got off the phone with Daisy... This must be some kind of record. In and out in 3 hours.... She PASSED!!!!!

She was told that right now they aren't giving estimates on passport delivery, just wait for the SMS. I'll keep an eye on ceac for issued status.

Daisy said the American consul was a very nice lady and only asked her one question and that was about the number of my previous marriages and asked if she had pics of the 3 of us (Daisy, her daughter and me) together. Daisy said she cried when she was told she was approved.
