  3. Hi did you call the Embassy? Just got a call from the embassy telling me they are stamping my visa in my passport now, explaining me that the date of visa validity is on Jan 2016 .but told me to leave Phils. before Aug. 22 the expiration of my medical. No updates of passport yet.

Just called also. The agent told me that 2go just picked up my visa from the embassy. She told me it was picked up around 9am earlier. Hopefully ill have it later today or tom morning for pick up.:) congrats to you!?

  4. I attended CFO june 29, you really have to get an appointment. Most of us who attended that day has a june 29 appointment. Dont know if they accept walk in..

    Thank you for the reply.☺

  5. I just had my seminar earlier today and it was easy breezy. CFO really does care about you and your safety when you're already in the US. They want to make sure you don't end up like the mail-order brides, or those doing human-trafficking.

I went there at 7AM and they didn't start letting people in until around 7:30. For the K1 applicants, we go to the line on the ramp and wait for the guard to tell us to come in. You have to submit a valid ID and he will give you a ID pass with a big pink F on it. You will then proceed to the 3rd floor.

The lady there will ask whether you have your visa already or not. If you do have one, they will give you an extra form to fill out. If not, then stick to the one form. For the forms, like others have already mentioned here in VJ, you do need the:

    telephone number/landline number

    your petitioner's mom's maiden name

    petitioner's address in the US

    petitioner's phone number

petitioner's education level and degree (if college, vocational or post graduate)

After filling out the forms, you will submit the required docs and they will check if you have all the requirements they need. If you're ok, then proceed to the other lady which takes your photo. Then she will tell you to eat breakfast and wait for 9am and go to room 3. Don't be late. If you're late, and they have already started, you won't be allowed to enter anymore.

Anyway, I just waited and talked to another person who was inside the room. At 9am, the Guidance counselor was carrying our files and started calling out our names one by one for the one-on-one interview. Some of the questions she asked me:

    When did you two meet?

    How did you two meet?

    Where did you two meet?

How many times have you been in the US?

    Have you met his family?

Then I was done. After each person was interviewed, she started a powerpoint presentation. It was 9:20 when she started and we finished at 11:30. She talked about the experiences of the filipinos over in the US. They gave us a brochure and CFO's telephone number in case something happens to us when we're there. The counsellor also talked about how we should be prepared emotionally, physically, mentally, psychologically, on our move to the US. She also explained what are the steps we're going to do once we go there.

We were instructed to proceed downstairs at the Cashier and after 5 mins, I got my sticker and certificate. I was done even before 12nn.

I think the CFO seminar was pretty good and not an actual waste of time. It's nice to know this kind of things to help us be prepared ;)

PS. There was a lady who got divorced and she needs to go tomorrow to submit her divorce papers so she can get her sticker.

Hi just want to know. Did you set for an appoinment of just walked in? Thank you.?

  6. have seen any recent post about it? or used the advanced search tool here?

when you get a moment, come visit on a PC, use the advanced search tool. It's both powerful and amazing.

Aww to bad my laptop's broken. Been confused coz someone i know said she just walk in. and the other said you need an appointment. Im quite far to the CFO office. they only accept 15 slots per am and pm session. Thanks for the advice though?

  7. Hi guys! I just received my visa yesterday, and im wondering how to open it and get my passport? Thank you!

Congrats! According to what i read to some blog she just slit a little in the side so she can slide out her passport.:) hope this helps.

    Btw,when was your interview?:)

  8. Got text message also from 2go that my passport will be delivered today.. But CEAC status READY and passport status unavailable.. Just waiting for today if passport will really be delivered.. By the way, what's UID? Where can i find that?

You can see it at your appointment letter near the barcode. When was your interview? Congrats btw!☺

  9. Just give it a little more time, we were in the same boat as you. We were complete and practically approved at the interview but needed the nbi with aka. Interview was Apr 23, we sent the NBI 1 week later, then our status stayed on AP for nearly 2 months before it changed to Ready. Likewise, I have no idea why it took them so long, maybe it was the annulment stuff like you said. I almost lost hope, but the nice people here at VJ helped lift my spirits. If nothing changes in the next few weeks, give them a call and have them escalate your case. Ours changed to Ready about 1 week after I called, but I'm not sure if that's what prompted the change or if it just happened naturally.

    all worth the wait.????

Just checked my ceac. Now on AP date was updated june 30. Hoping to see ISSUED tom or within the week. May all the processing be fast now.?

  10. Interesting development on our side... (the times below are all relative to Philippine time)

Around 8am yesterday our ustraveldocs status changed to "Passport has been received from the Consular Section and is currently being processed for delivery.". No results in 2GO yet. CEAC status still AP.

Around 1pm, I was able to get results on 2GO using the UID (case # and passport # didn't work). Status was In-Transit, was already scanned twice apparently, at 9am and 10am.

Around 4pm, 2GO status says "Undelivered - Reason: Hold Transaction for P-UP @ 2GO Mall of Asia" with a scan status "Accepted shipment from customer" at 3:55pm. At this time, ustraveldocs status changed back to "There is no status update available for the passport number submitted"

Around 8pm, we got a text message from 2GO saying "US Visa ready for pick up at 2GO Mall of Asia" (YAY! :dancing:), no email though. CEAC status: AP. ustraveldocs: no status available.

I find it funny how we're getting our visa before the CEAC status went to Issued. Anyone else experience this? I think CEAC may be lagging a bit behind because of the glitch issue last week.

Congrats!? Btw, when was your interview?

  11. Last night, (here in Los Angeles) I called my connections in the US Embassy in Manila to follow up on my fiancee's K1 visa. As everyone is aware that the US Embassy had stop the visa processing because of the computer hardware issues.

I spoke with my person in the Embassy and they did say the problem is fix, but not yet at 100%. They did tell me they are going to expedite my paper work. They did tell me they are very sorry for the long delay and they are working over time to try and catch up with all the visa request.

They did say our K1 is visa will be completed really soon.

I will be heading to the PI this weekend and have our son's interview for his CRBA and US Passport.

US Embassy person, I will like to thank you for calling me back and letting me know about our process. Also, thanks for always taking my calls when I bug you. Lol

Praying my case will be expedited too. Been interviewed last june 9 for k1. My ceac status havent changed eversince. It only says ready for interview. It got updated last june 15 but still no change on the update. so frustrating.:(
