Hi Folks
I will be going back to Aus for a holiday in April for approx 3 weeks. Seeing as i have not been back since i moved to the US in June 2006 do i need to get a returning visa at all? or, can i just travel back with no issues happening at the Aus end?
Just a bit concerned about this. as i want to book the trip.
Thanks

Hi All .. well it's that time now.. to send off our I-751 Removal of Conditions
1 Question , do we organize my 2 passport style pictures for the Application and attach them to it,
Or do we do it when they do the Biometrics?
Congrats to one and all who's Visa's have come through
And to those who are still waiting .. believe me the wait is more than worth it
Thanks
Paul
anyone
Paul, when i filed my removal of conditions last year i attached the two passport photos to the application.
When they sent me the letter for biometrics they took my photo at their office, thats a standard thing they do.
Cheers

Merp, we had the same thing happen recently with an RFE. and we had a lot of evidence too.
So all we did was send in copies of exactly what we sent prior, chucked in a few Xmas cards from Australia, updated and current copies of our bank account statements and a current electric bill in both names. 7 days later got the 10 year GC in the mail, no updates showed on their website for it.
I personally think they had lost some of our info, so just needed it again.
Cheers

Congratulations! What was your RFE?
They requested further evidence of updated bank statements, tax stuff and other documents that showed both of our names on it.

We shipped my PC and everything else with Grace Brothers Removals in Adelaide, brilliant they were and very reasonable cost I made sure i had a power convertor put on prior, so all i had to do when arrived in the US was to flick the switch over.

G'Day

StillThePrettiest,
Some of the moving Companies probably will say they have to pack, i think the reason being is due to all the stuff coming through customs and may be easier that way so customs do not unpack it all and do the search thing
I would suggest you talk with a moving Company and see what goes.

Hi Folks
This post was supposed to go into the Aussie thread..ummm... duhhhh she must have pressed the wrong thing.
THANK YOU!!! for your replies
Kath and Jodee thanks for the suggestions, i really appreciate it
and thanks MelindaandTarek for not knowing..lol, but, nice of you to post a reply
I have been so obessed with this the last week. Phewwwww, i feel i can relax now.
Durango being such an isolated place to get things one feels like one is going nuts when i try to find things.
Tracy that sounds bloody marvellous what you offered, definatly like that idea.
If you could let me know cost etc and how i can pay you....I do have a Paypal acc and can transfer it that way to you.
We solved our DVD issue by buying a large flat screen for the pc and watch our movies that way, so much easier for us as we do not own a TV (we did not want one) so that serves two purposes..for my artwork and movies.
I had every international moving CO in Adelaide out to give me quotes and i found Grace Bros the best for our needs and the cheapest. We had approx 15 CM's...88 boxes of all sizes and some furniture that cost us just over 10 grand. They were very professional and nice to deal with, We recieved it in 5 weeks, no damage to anything. I did bring some electrical items as well and got a power convertor, they are much cheaper here.
Whoo Hooo...
Thanks
Cheers

Just wondering if anyone knows where one can purchase a region free DVD player in the USA? I have asked at so many places and they have never heard of them and the comment is , well, this is America we only sell region 1 code here, In Australia they were available at many places. I have a large collection of dvds that now i cannot play

Hi everyone
Just thought i would update you on my adventures. I am now in the Durango. CO, wonderful feeling to be with hubby permanetly. Coming through LA PO was so quick and easy, they just checked my brown enevelope. got me to sign papers and that was it, took all of 5 mins.
Some info that may assist anyone.
I used Grace Bros in Adelaide to ship all my furniture and stuff, i highly recommend them they were fantastic, only took 3 weeks to arrive in LA and it will be delivered in 2 weeks to home, very reasonable cost too.
My parrot arrived well and happy, was in quarantine for 1 month, he is home now tho. I used Animal transport in Adelaide to handle him and Jets n Pets(Gary Wingate) in LA who was fantastic.
Thanks for all the info that was shown on this site to make one aware of what was to come. i really appreciated it all and eased alot of stress.
Be well all and take care
