  1. Most of the jobs here in that line of work , say on the job training . I also know he can't keep coming and going and scheduling interviews , it becomes very expensive . We just didn't know if it was worth submitting applications and resumes at this point ? But I'm thinking it will be at least a good way to get feedback from employers as far as what he might need to be qualified for here , if any . It's also seems like there is no harm in it , and if they have his resume , he can contact as many as he can when he is going to be in the states .

  2. That is good to know then . We were just worried he would give up his job there and come here and have wait to find employment , for who knows how long , and go through our savings . He is currently working for British Gas , and has been for the past 8 years . He is a residential gas appliance service technician , or they say a gas engineer . We were thinking that after the interview there for his visa , and hopefully approved , he would enter the U.S. After that , and if he doesn't have a job lined up by then here , he would return to England until he found one here . I am assuming that is doable .

  3. Hello all

My husbands interview is scheduled August 4th in England . We were wondering if the visa is approved and after they send him what he needs to travel to the U.S. With , he then enters the U.S. As a legal resident , to then receive his Social Security card . He may then and only then start looking and applying for a job ? He is worried about it taking a while to find one . So can he enter the U.S. And then return to England and his job there and network and apply for jobs there ? His concern is giving up his job there and coming here and going through his savings . Can he apply for jobs as soon as they approve his visa in England ? I hope I have explained this well enough . Thanks for any advice given .

  4. Hello to all ! So I have completed the DS261 and it shows completed . Paid the AOS fee and it shows paid . I then printed off the aos receipt and the document Cover sheet with the bar code . It instructs me to submit the I 864 with that cover sheet and the supporting documents . It also gives address to mail those to with Attn . What I would like to know is when do we do the DS260 and pay fee for IV application? Does that show up later ? Or do we also submit the other supporting documents with financial documents ? The steps on the NVC website seem to be somewhat out of order . Thanks so much for any info ! And this forum has been so helpful as I have looked and read through everything . A wealth of Information! I just feel like I need a guidebook through all of this lol thanks again
