okay - thanks for that. I know the process takes much longer than before but thought the initial reply happened fairly soon - apparently not.

Our I-751 was received in the Phoenix office on 3/13/19. The check has not cleared and we have yet to receive the receipt letter. Should we be concerned?

I am a natural born US Citizen. My Thai wife and I completed the AOS process about a year ago. Once she got her green card we began the AOS process for her son that was, and still is, in the USA on a student visa. He was 17 when we submitted the application. He turned 18 in July of 2017 so it is my understanding he is no longer a minor. We just received notice that his interview is scheduled for next month (May 2018). My question is do I, as the petitioner, have to attend the interview since he is no longer a minor? I'm hoping not since he is in California and I live in another state. Thanks for any guidance!

I recently married my spouse that is here on a B1/B2. We are putting together the documents for her Change of Status. We are living in Phoenix and she has a 17 year old son going to school in California on a student visa. What do we need to do to change his status at the same time? Can it be done?

I thought I was pretty well versed in family based visa processes but after reading some of the discussions here I am not so sure. Seems like it's an ever evolving process so I'm here looking for some up to date guidance
I'm a US citizen and my prospective fiancee is from Thailand. She is currently here on a B1/B2 visa, She has lots of family here and her son attends high school here in the US. This is her 5th visit to the US so she clearly didn't come here with the intent to marry. She will return to Thailand at the end of the month.
If we marry before she returns and apply for a change of status will she still be able to travel back and forth on her tourist visa while it is being processed? If we start the K1process can she still travel back and forth while it is being processed? What about the CR1 - I don't know a lot about it? Other ideas?
So what is our best option?
Thanks for any help!
Mike
How long for check to clear and receipt letter

Today we got our package back with a rejection letter saying the payment amount is incorrect. I sent a check for the $595 filing fee but did not send an additional $85 for the biometrics. On page 2 of the instructions it says "If you are the U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident spouse, you do not need to include a biometric services fee at the time this petition is submitted. If USCIS laternotifies you that you must submit your biometrics, you will receive a biometric services appointment notice with instructions on how to submit the additional fee".
Is my wife not a legal permanent resident spouse?
