He picked up his visa yesterday. I will see him Friday!!!! :-) 311 days after we filed for K1, he will be home with me forever. So excited!!!
-
I am stressing out!!! US embassy in Brussels was closed today. We have been in administrative processing since December 3rd. I'm really praying he gets the visa Monday. Our wedding is December 16th.
-
Mine changed to "Administrative Processing" this morning woo hoo! almost there!!!!!!!
-
Ours has been stuck in "ready" status for 2 days now. I'm checking it EVERY HOUR.... He was supposed to pick up his visa last week but the US Embassy was shut down in Brussels the entire week. He went Monday to see if he could pick it up and it wasn't ready because the computer system was down the entire week. Day 303 since we filed for K1 Visa and we still wait... Oh, did I mention I booked his airfare for the 11th of December a month ago! OOPS! lol

I will never use WU again! They were horrible! I used them one time to send $200 to my fiancé via their online website. A gentleman called me 2 hours later and proceeded to ask me really weird questions like "do you know this person?" "why can't you wait to give them the money next time you see them?" "how long have you dated?" etc etc etc... I started getting mad and told him it's really none of business about my relationship. Well, he denied the transfer. Never again!

MY CASE WAS APPROVED!!!!
I can't quite describe the feeling of relief I just felt upon checking the status. It's like I finally finished a marathon. I know there's still a ways to go, but at least now there is a clearer picture of when the end will come.
I posted earlier this week that I was losing hope. I reached a very low point and was growing desperate. I decided that the incesant checking (5x a day, at least) was only adding to my frustration, so I promised myself from now on I would only check on Fridays after 5:00pm. Once a week was all that I would get.
And I check today and it turns out I was approved on Wednesday! Wow.
I share my story because I know I'm not the only one. I know some of you have been waiting even longer than I have, and I know what you're feeling. I can only say that it WILL happen one day, if not today.
Don't lose hope.
Now... to start calling NVC incesantly
Congratulations!!!
It will fly by now! My NOA2 was approved August 7th and now we are patiently waiting for his packet 3 from the embassy to arrive any day now!! I'm starting to get really excited. My fiancé is too stressed out to be excited. lol

Hi there!!! You can start filling out your ds 160 online and start collecting your documents for your interview and medical. Go online to set an appointment for your interview by filling out ds 160 form. There are a lot of papers to gather so you should get started.
I was just on the NVC site and it said as part of the 'fees' I need to pay for a I-485 AOS which is $1070. Does that have to be paid up front before he gets his K1 visa or can we pay that after he gets here and we married?
-
Congrats on everyone getting their NOA2s! I've been keeping up to date with everyone on here!
Does anyone know what the hell you're supposed to do once you get a case number at the NVC??? I cannot find any help anywhere and I feel stuck at the moment.

Hi everyone! My NOA2 was August 7. Then it was sent to the dept of state August 21st. I kept calling every day and finally got through on September 4th. They gave me my case number. Now I'm confused on the next process. I have no idea what to do. I have searched everywhere. I asked NVC what to do and they told me to go on the website and "look around". Are we supposed to get more information in the mail of what to do!?

I started planning a January wedding about this time last month. I haven't paid for anything that is date-dependent (I ordered a dress, and I'm getting some invitations designed...will plug in the date and location as soon as we can commit to it). I figure that if we have a January wedding planned, the earliest he'll be "allowed" to immigrate is that date in October. We'll probably do the courthouse at the end of December for tax purposes, or to hit the 90 day requirement, if he makes it here in late Sept/early Oct.
But honestly, I think that mid/late October is what is realistic for us. He is just REALLY BAD at anything to do with organization. He's had the list of vaccinations for 2 weeks. Public clinics are free (as long as you've paid your social insurance). Every day for two weeks, I've been asking where he's at on getting the vaccinations. "It's complicated" is all I keep getting. Apparently "complicated" is "asking for an appointment". Which can take a while. Which is exactly why I sent him the list two weeks ago. To get the show on the road. Sigh. At this rate, I feel like we'll be lucky to see October.
But for you, assuming you're not marrying my fiance's long lost twin or something.......October is very do-able for you. Maybe not the big white wedding. Maybe you'll give folks two weeks' notice. Or elope. But I think as long as you get moving on Packet 3, you'll be able to do October.
Yes, we are going to do a courthouse wedding within days of him getting here and then have a huge family wedding in March. He refuses to order the wedding bands (in Belgium) until he gets the visa in his hands and we were told it could take up 3 weeks to get the rings!!! So, yes, I think your fiancé and my fiancé may be twins.
I do have another question. Paul, my fiancé, was going to pay for the fees that were needed to finish this process up... but am I reading this correctly? Do we have to pay the fees online first? I have had nightmares with trying to get money back and forth from Belgium. It's never happened. But he saved up all the money to pay the fees.... Can he not pay there in Belgium at the embassy???

**Update**
I called a few minutes ago to NVC considering its been a week since I'd received my NO2 and found out it arrived as of today. The Agent who kept the conversation very short and simple said that it could take anywhere up to 42 days to assign a few set of numbers, which i figure its not as a bad as TSC wait time. So yeah there's more waiting- I just hope we get to spend Christmas together.. Fingers crossed to those who are still waiting to be approve GOOD LUCK guys!!
Fingers CrossedFingers CrossedMy NOA2 was approved August 7th. I received a message from USCIS on August 21st stating that they mailed off my petition to the NVC. I have called NVC every Friday and they tell me it could take up to 35 days to receive... We were really hoping for a October wedding. We would definitely like to get married before the end of the year so I can file my taxes with him as a dependent. lol It's starting to get really ridiculous... this waiting. We are ready to move on with our lives.

Can someone who got their NOA2 please advise..
When they accept the NOA2, whats the first thing updated? Is it the online case checker? How long after does the petitioner get email/text?
Thanks
In my case, the online tracker was updated. Then an hour later I received an email. I never received my text. And I am signed up for both.

Guys congratulations!!!!!!
i fear my heart stops when i will see my approval, i am truly dying for this moment, so i feel so much ur happiness and happy for you
It will happen soon! My heart did drop when I saw it... Then tears, then jumping up and down in my bedroom trying not to wake up my child. lol I have been trying to call my fiancé for the past 20 minutes but he turned his phone off while he is sleeping! lol So my momma got my call. Now, I just wait for Paul to wake up and turn his phone on so I can tell him! lol
-
OMG!!!! I just went online and see that my case was APPROVED TODAY!!!!!!!
-
I tried to submit an inquiry on the USCIS page as it has been over 6 months since I received our NOA1. Those sneaky little guys at TSC.... refuse to accept my inquiry because my case falls within their processing time of November 10th. I AM GOING TO SCREAM!!! My NOA1 date is 02/03/2015 and while I am so HAPPY and THRILLED for everyone getting their NOA2 from TSC so far, I am just frustrated to the point of bursting into tears.
-
Congrats to everyone that is approved!!! So happy for you all!! I feel that my time is any moment... *fingers crossed*
-
I am dying with laughter over here reading the level 5 freak outs! My fiancé is Belgian and he is EXTREMELY laid back and "whatever" attitude... KILLS ME!!!! I'm worried with him getting a job here because he is flipping out that I take a 30 minute lunch and also thinks how absurd it is that my daughter has 20 minutes to eat at school... bless his little heart... IT'S DEFINITELY A CULTURAL THING!!

Does my fiancé have to have a social security card in order to get married? Or can he use his passport?
-
Congratulations!!!! So exciting!!! But Texas suuuuuccks so bad. We are 17 days ahead of you. Lol. Oh well. I'm a OU Sooner fan. Maybe they're on to me.... ;-)
-
If we had to do it all over again, we would have married when he was here visiting and then filed AOS. Would make our life so much easier.
-
ughhhhhh!!!!! So frustrating!!! I have seen two posts this week that there were lots of February approvals this week but I have heard nothing! I'm NOA1 date of Feb 3rd. TEXAS YOU ARE KILLING ME!!! We are so ready to move on with our life, make a family, and live happily ever after.
-
My NOA1 date is February 3rd too. Based on my receipt number (ending in 45) there are 6 people ahead of me waiting to be approved for the I129F.
-
Frustrated that there is no movement for two days on February. Grrrr. I'm seriously 6 cases away from being approved.
So how does the biometric appointment look like?

We just had ours today! Our appointment was at 3:00 and we were done by 3:15. They took his photo and fingerprints, gave him his original appointment letter back and said "thank you, you are free to go now".
He did have to fill out a one page form that asked for basic information.
