  1. Did CEAC change to ISSUED? Have you checked the website were you registered for the DHL service to see if there is a DHL Waybill number available?

If CEAC changed to ISSUEd on Friday (Feb 13) then more then likely DHL didn't get it till yesterday, Tuesday Feb 17, since Monday was a federal holiday here in the states. The Embassy is closed on both American and Albanian holidays.

If more then ten business days (about two weeks) have passed since your interview and you have not received your passport back then you can email the Embassy.

He just got his passport back with the issued visa :)

  2. The Embassy in Tirana says they upload the DHL tracking information with the Waybill to the same site that you went to in order to register for the DHL service. However, for both of my in-laws it never updated with the Waybill. When it still hadn't been updated my wife emailed the Embassy to be told they don't have it and gave it to DHL on a particular date, and to contact DHL for more information. The Embassy never gave her the Waybill numbers in the email.

How long do they usually take to mail the passport with the visa??

  3. Hi all,

My visa was just issued in Montreal consulate and I've been waiting for the waybill number to appear. I am wondering how many days after "ISSUED" I should expect to see the waybill number to track my passport. Visa appointment website in Canada has recently changed so I am wondering if any of you are now waiting for your passport? Are you seeing your waybill number on this new website?

    Thank you

    Hi

How long after the interview approval, do you usually get your passport with the issued visa back?

    Thank you

  4. yayyyy we are sooo happy :) interview got approved  The CO only asked a few questions to my fiance. How many times has she visited Albania? Is she still here? Where are you going to live once you're there? Have you ever travelled outside of Albania with your fiancee? And then she said congratulations we will mail your visa packet and passport with DHL. How long does it usually take for the visa to arrive at home? Maybe a week or two? Should we hold off for the ticket until we get the visa?

  5. I had a similar question, I only included one latter of intent to marry and I was the only person notarized and signed when I sent to USCIS you guys now if UCIS will ask for my fiance latter intent. or the one I sent to them will be enough.? also My fiance lives in Malaysia if USCIS ask me the latter intent for my fiance does she need to notarized and signed or just signature will be enough.??[/quote

Just the signature is fine and the date. No need for notery or anything. One letter is enough. Im including it just in case they ask for it at the interview.

  6. Me and my Fiancé received her Form I-797c notice of action on September 16,2014 I was wondering how much longer are we expecting to wait for her interview. We are going through the Texas Service Center

It took us a long time to get our petition approved. We didnt get an rfe or anything but it took them 270 days so almost 9 months to approve it. Depends how fast or slow the Texas Service Center is and how many applications they have at the time..

  7. If it says in the appointment letter that the embassy accepts joint sponsors and yours meets the 125% minimum requirement you will be fine with that part. From what I have learned from research in here is that part is more or so procedural as in if your joint sponsor shows his funds and can back it all up with sufficient proof they simply look at the paperwork and simply move along. The main purpose of the interview is to prove the bona fide relationship and since yours seems to be 100% genuine your fiance will be approved. I have a long 12 days to go before my fiancee has her interview and I can so feel your pain and stress of worrying because I'm going through the same here. Everything will be fine just like all the great people in here tell me that's been through it all as well...

Thank you for the kind words and the support. I wish you the best of luck :)

  8. Nope, that is the fee for AOS (includes EAD and AP); then 2 years later, ROC another 400-500.

Various expenses once in the country (not counting airfare), such as clothes, medical insurance, maybe a car, etc....

You are looking at about 4-5k before all is done.

And then, sooner or later, there will be a travel home to reconnect to family...usually within first 2 years...

Notice also, that spouse will not be able to work for some time (2-3 months after AOS) if that is the plan.

When will he be able to work after he gets here? 2-3 months after the AOS application or approval?

  9. realistically speaking, if everything "is fine", there's really only 2 possible reasons for denial and 1 is crucial/critical/mandatory denial if not met

Affidavit of Support = this alone guarantees a denial if they think you will be a public charge/the petitioner does not make enough money/etc.. this right here is the one that is a guaranteed denial

Medical = if they find drugs in the blood or something in your lungs, etc, it's not an outright denial but it will delay the process further and you won't get the visa

so yea.. realistically speaking, those 2 are the "backbreakers"

My dad is my co-sponsor and he is above the 125% of poverty guidelines.

Medical wise he is 25 never been sick besides the usual flu, or little things. He doesn't do drugs, just smokes cigarettes once in a while, but i dont think that would be a big deal.

  10. If the visa is denied it is either a 221g and more evidence is sent to the embassy or the petition is sent back to the USCIS who will send you a letter, notice of intent to revoke (or deny) and give you the opportunity to send more evidence. What evidence may depend on why the embassy denied you. Then they make a decision and either you have to file again orit's sent back to the embassy for a second interview.

So basically its just a delay for more evidence, but not an actual denial where you start from the beginning??

  11. question, this has not happend and hopefully it will not, praying it will not, but what if they dny your visa at the embassy, what happens? do you start the process all over again?

I understand and I know how you feel... If you have a real relationship and you have sent the proof for it then you're good to go. You have done all that you can, now its up to them to decide. Our interview is actually next week, and we have nothing left but hope for the best :)

  12. I am just nervous about the interview at this point. I don't mind the fees at all. I just want him to be here already. Longest week ever. Next thursday its his interview. I have travelled back and forth for the past three years. I have lived with him in Albania for a year. We fulfill all the requirements so we'll just have to wait and see :(

The $1070 is for the beneficiary green card.

After 2 years, you have to file for Removal of Conditions, which is $505 + $85 for biometrics.

And if the beneficiary choses to become a citizen, it's $595 + $85 biometrics.

So yeah... plenty of fees down the road :(
