  1. So,

I married my husband July 11th 2015 after my POE on May 24th 2015... After we got married I started my AOS packet and I didn't know how long it would take to get everything together! So I am still working on it and I probably won't be able to file it until next week.,, I am just scared because I don't know how long or how late I can file it?? Is there a time limit? I'm still living in the U.S. ....

I just am so confused because I heard that you didn't really have a time limit but just to work on it right after your marriage and file it as soon as you can.

    Help!

  2. So, I am just prepping myself for when/if I recieve my K1 Visa. My appointment is on April 28th.

I am just concerned about what is the first thing I should do when I enter the US?

Should I apply for a SSN with my maiden and then get married and then get a new one with my new surname?

How do I apply for AOS?

When should I do it (how far into the 90 days)?

All this seems so confusing and I am not prepared. I have a little bit of an idea on what to do, but I am confused.

    Any help would be appreciated!

  3. So, my fiance received NOA2 on February 14th and on March 3rd he received a letter saying that Packet 3 is sent to me. I thought it was a good idea to start the DS 160 form :)

I am confused with a question on it though...

For the Travel section it asks a question about travel companions and asks who will be traveling with me.

Since I live in Canada and he lives in the US, him, his mom and dad are going to take their truck up to where I live in Canada and stay there for a day and a night and help me pack my stuff and load it into their truck and then travel back down to the US with me.

So what I'm asking is that for the Travel Companion question do I put their names down as people who will be traveling with me, or, do I leave it blank?

Any help would be awesome!!! :)

  4. I am from British Columbia, Canada and my fiance is from Washington (state), USA.

I phoned the NVC last week and they provided me with a Case #, Invoice ID # and Beneficiary #. I also recently checked our case status online today and it said, "Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center."

    • Does that mean that it is on its way to the Vancouver Embassy?
    • What should I do now? What's the next step?
    • When do I start form DS-160?
    • Do I have to wait until I get something in the mail from them to start gathering documents?
    • When should I start gathering documents?

Right now I am at lost on what to do. I've done my research on the Internet and I'm not entirely positive on what step I should take now!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!! :) :) :) :)
