I have my interview booked for Montreal and have all documents. My police check was done June 17th 2015. Its within the year requirement for the embassy but should I do another one because its over 6 months? Also its only a name and D.O.B. based search. Is that a problem? Any help would be great. Thanks in advance

I am also waiting with a scan date of Sept 17th but no complete date yet. The NVC has said the case is complete but just needs to be scanned in????

Thanks for your response BRlove. I have called and seemingly getting nowhere. They confirm that my case is closed but they need to finish scanning everything in. Confusing since all our forms were submitted online. How is your case moving along?

I have called the NVC and they at first told me my case was complete but just didn't have a date yet. I waited and called back in a couple days and spoke with someone who said they just had to finish scanning our items but that the case was indeed complete. I called for a third time yesterday and the rep at the NVC seemed puzzled that the case was complete but no date. Whatever she was seeing on her screen she said she had never seen before. My question is has this happened to anyone before? I will be calling on Monday to speak to a supervisor as the NVC rep forwarded it to one but since that's not until Monday I was hoping to have some insight before that. Thanks,

It takes 15 working days to get (Most receive theirs between 15-20 days and although the standard is 12 months they say for immigration 6 months to be safe

Get another Police check done and bring that to your interview (with photo copies). Congratulations you're almost done

I am currently gathering all my documents as is my wife who is living in the US. I am wondering if the package that is sent to the NVC that includes the visa pictures of myself need to be original or I can scan them for my wife to print out. I know I need the originals at my interview but am just inquiring about the ones for my NVC package. Thanks in advance

I need some clarification in regards to supporting documentation for my interview. I have 3 children who will not be coming with me to the states. Do I need to provide custody documents to show for my interview. I have joint custody but my ex wife have final decision making power which since the divorce has limited my time with them. Is this something I need to provide them with. I don't want to waste their time with extra forms but want to be 1000% prepared. Any help would be great! Thanks in advance
