  1. Greetings to all,

I hope you enjoyed the break and was able to enjoy some time with the family.

My wife made it safely this past Friday and I am very happy. She didn't have much of a delay when entering. It seem the CBP officer was in a good mood and even made a joke saying that the reason for her coming to live with her husband was the wrong answer lol.

All the best for ones who still have interviews.

Congratulations!! Where was her POE? I myself would be flying this 30th, with Miami as my POE! Guess I need to brush up on my Spanish!!
  2. Our case was expedited after cc at the NVC

Was ready on December 2nd at Riyadh embassy with an update on December 6

My wife sent an email requesting an appointment on December 9 but still no response

    Any suggestions?!!

    Thank you

Our case was approved for an expedited interview also. My husband received instructions in his email on how to schedule my interview appointment. Go to ais.usvisa-info.com and try scheduling your appointment. Good luck!
  3. Awesome. Had no doubts. But still phew. Now BREATHE!! Congratulations. :goofy:

Finally!! Slept for almost 24 hours after that!! Actually, organizing everything was more stressful than the interview itself!! CEAC website shows issued, but still picking up the passport this Thursday!! You have been such a great help Dwheels, and I wouldn't be able to door without the help of the VJ world!!! Thanks guys!! Message me if you have any questions, I will be happy to answer all of them based on my experience!!
  4. Here you go guys, my experience at the USEM Abu Dhabi. Went to line up at 6:30am. There were 2 lines, one for immigrant visas, the other one for non-immigrant visas. There were already around 20 people in line. We were told to get our appointment letters and passports ready. By 7:45 they let us enter the doors for an airport-style security check, bags were not allowed, mobile phones were turned off and surrendered to the security where they gave me ticket number to collect it afterwards. After the security check, we were ask to go and wait inside a room. At exactly 8am, we we told to go through another door, to a walkway, into another room. Before entering that room, there was another security check, they checked my passport and appointment letter, gave me the number of 610. It was not very big, seats maximum of 150. Gave me a feeling of being inside a bank, albeit a smaller one. After that the pre-assessment started. It was the longest in the interview process. I had mine around 9 am mostly because there were a few families before me. My pre-assessment was at window 9, where an Indian man was conducting it. He asked for my ticket number, passport and appointment letter. He then returned to me the pictures my husband sent NVC,asked me what my work at the UAE is and how long I have been here, asked for my sealed medical packet from the doctor, returned the pictures my husband sent NVC, then told me to go to window 10 for my finger printing. Then I was told to wait for my number to be called for the interview. Pre- assessment for immigrant visas were at windows 7,8,9. Finger printing at windows 10, 11. There were a maximum 20 immigrant visas to be interviewed for that day. By 10 am, they have a change of employees and that was when the interviews started. There were only 2 consul officers doing the interview for immigrant visa, i was hoping mine would be at window 12 which is inside their office which would offer a little bit of privacy, away from the hearing of all the other people still waiting. Of course that did not happen!! By 10:30 am, my number was called at window 7, where a middle-aged lady, short haired and wearing glasses was waiting for me, smiling. She then asked me to put the 4 fingers of my right hand on the finger print scanner outside her window and asked me to say the oath with her. After that the interview started. Questions asked were: how long have you been married to your husband?, how did you meet your husband?, when was the last time you were together?, was I married before ( which I answered never!)? She then asked for a copy of my husband's 2014 taxes and the original of my Philippine Police certificate. She then told me congratulations, I could get my passport with the visa on Dec. 17 at 2 pm. She slipped me the pink slip, with the instructions and wished me a long and happy married life with my husband!!! The actual interview did not even take 5 minutes. I was not even asked for any of the original copies of my civil documents ( except for the one I mentioned above), nor to show any proof of relationship ( which I think because my husband already sent a few pictures to NVC), nor any proof of our correspondences!! The CO was very nice and cheerful. I was out of the embassy by 10:40!!!

  5. Currently this is the list of countries that would be included in this list (if the automatic AP is implemented)

Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh (already an Automatic AP country) Burundi, Camaroon, Central African Republic,Chad, People's Republic of China, Colombia, Congo, Crimea (Region of Ukraine), Cuba, Egypt, El Salvador, Eritrea, Haiti, Honduras, Iran, Iraq, Israel, the West Bank and Gaza, Kenya. Korea, Democratic People's Republic of*, Lebanon,,Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Mexico, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan (already an Automatic AP country), Philippines, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, , Thailand,Ukraine, Venezuela, Yemen

That makes me super sad!! ? Any idea when they would implement that?!! That would affect everybody!!
  6. On the subject of automatic AP countries, from what I'm hearing the past few days on CNN, sometime in the near future it's going to become substantially more difficult for applicants from "high risk" countries to get a visa, and all of them may become automatic AP countries. The wording I heard was, "staunchly vigorous and lengthly process".

Did they say which countries would that be? Unless they have been backed up by facts, I don't think CNN would name " high - risk" countries!!
  7. oh are there horror stories for your interview country? not sure I read any but im sure every country has its horrors but I don't believe your country is known for AP so hopefully after a successful interview visa get issued quickly!

Nah, there were not too much reviews written about the USEM Abu Dhabi but most of them are positive, and got very low harassment rating. I'm just getting antsy!!?
  8. ever since I started this process that thread has been going. I have no idea when they started it but doubt they will stop. not sure what triggered automatic AP for that country but boy do they wait a long time to get out of there! I believe that thread has been going on for years hence that thread is the third one and already at 151 pages so maybe that country has always had automatic AP no idea

I will be having my interview this Sunday at USEM Abu Dhabi, and I cant help but get paranoid from reading all the horror stories which is stressing my husband also!! Prayers from you guys will be greatly appreciated! God bless us all!!

. That is sad. Are there any other countries they put on automatic AP?
  10. sorry but your country is automatic AP and this is the thread you can participate in. ..http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/523897-new-islamabad-ap-tracker-part-iii/page-151

there are ones from your country that been in AP for a long time but that doesn't mean you will. AP is anywhere from days to years but lets hope yours is quick but until then you can join others from Pakistan in the AP journey

IGNORE the DV visa part that's not your visa category

Why are they putting Pakistan on automatic AP?!!
  11. Thank you,

Also I wanted to ask and maybe other Nigerians would find this question helpful too, With the new restrictions Dubai has placed for Nigerians coming into Dubai. Do you have any knowledge or information of how that effects those that want to book through Emirates with a layover in Dubai for our husbands and wives coming to join us in the US?

My husband and I have been looking for potential flight and see that Emirates is offering a nice affordable rate but I'm skeptical of my husband flying into Dubai on the connecting flight. Will they turn him back or deny him entry into the country if he is on a connecting flight to US?

Don't worry. Unless he has plans of going out of the airport and into the city, your husband does not need to go through passport control!!
  12. Hey guys, just an update on our case.... CC was Oct. 29, interview scheduled on December 13 at USEM Abu Dhabi. So just a little less than a year of starting this journey, we could almost see the light at the end of the tunnel!! ? To all who are still, hang in there... my prayers are with you. The path may be long and hard, but with the help of Visa Journey, we will all get our happy endings!!
