I used this website https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/  It’s more informative than the other one we all tend to check.. I finally got my GC in the post today. I was approved on Feb 15th and got informed mail notice today that my package has arrived.

Hopefully this helps you keep me posted

Thanks!  Hopefully it will come soon.  In the meantime, he was able to get the I551 stamp, so he is all set.

The status changed today to Administrative processing

We, too, were put in this dreaded status after my now-husband went for his K1 interview.  He was told that he was approved and could pick up his passport w/ visa in a few days.  Then later that afternoon, they called him and told him that it was going to take "a little longer".  His AP took about 6 months (of course, that was back in 2014 and things may take longer or be different now).  I called weekly and they just told me that they would contact us when it was done.  I did make a point to confirm that the processing was being done in Morocco.  After about 5 and 1/2 months, i called my Senator's office and the immigration case worked agreed to call them.  He (my husband) got a call that day from the consulate saying that his AP was done.

Based on my extensive research, the AP done in-country is a big black box.  No one knows what is happening with it at any given time, not even the consular officers, so as to remove the possibility of bribery, etc.  Near as I can figure, the last step is to run your name through a database, if it clears you get your visa.  If it hits anything, even soundex hits (names  that same similar to yours), then they have to do further investigation.  Because so many people have such similar names in Morocco, it happens fairly often.

If they return everything to the State Department in the US, then that is not a good sign.  But they likely would not have kept his passport in that case.

I’m in the same boat as you.

I got my letter on Feb 20 confirming I got approved on Feb 15 and now no idea about my GC. I’ve suppose to be travelling on the 18th.

    Figerscrossed it comes in time

Same here.  Hubby is also traveling on the 18th.  He is at an info pass appointment right now.  They confirmed that the GC was approved, but has not yet been sent for production.  They said that his GC should be sent within the next 30 days.  He is trying to get the I551 stamp in his passport -- he travels frequently out of the country for business -- but they are hesitating since his green card extension expires more than 30 days from now.

  4. Thanks all! I'd really like it if my June 9th trip across the Canadian border was green ... meanwhile back in the real world ... there ain't no chance of that happening. My card would need approving next week for that to happen and unfortunately I'm only (ONLY!) ten months in.

What I envisage happening is that my renewal EAD/AP will be approved while I'm in Canada. That will probably automatically cancel out my existing card which the none-too-nice border guy will swipe and say is invalid ... then onto secondary .. Let's make up the rest of the story from there ;-)

Just to put your mind at rest, we got the approval text during our layover in Istanbul on our return trip from Morocco. The border guy told us that his green card had been mailed and seemed relieved that he didn't have to do much work. Soooo, if it wasn't a problem for my Moroccan flying in through Turkey, I'm sure it won't be a problem for a nice British guy like you. ;-)
  5. Wow I bet that was HUGE surprise!! Congratulations! Enjoy!! Go celebrate this great news! :)

You are a late June filer, so they seem to be doing a lot of June filers lately however I don't understand why they are seemingly by passing March and April filers. We still have Jan 14 filer waiting, what a mess this system is in. Total and utter mess!

My best guess is that a batch of June files were sent to a slow local office. We didn't do any service requests or anything, so I have no idea which office processed ours.

And believe me, I understand the frustration of those that are still waiting. We started this journey in October of 2012 -- so while 10 months seems like too long to wait for the I-485 approval, I know that it could have been a lot worse! I'm thankful that we are done for a couple of years and I definitely wish speedy resolutions for all of you still waiting... especially Movinon and the others who filed before us and are still waiting.

  6. Woot! Welcome notice mailed on May 4th. Card in production on May 3rd.

We just returned from a trip to Morocco and the Border Control Officer in the secondary inspection area told us that the green card was in the mail, so entering on AP after Green Card approval and prior to receipt is apparently a non-issue since they have access to all of that information. It was no problem.

Our NOA1 was June 26th and our NPIW letter was October 15th.

  7. Global Entry is a program for American citizens that allows them to bypass the lines and go to a kiosk to rapidly clear immigration. It requires a $100 fee and a clearance process with fingerprints and facial recognition. I have it and like it, but since my wife can't get it until she gets a passport in 3 years, I don't use it now...

Last time I entered the country from an international origin (which was a few weeks ago), I was surprised to see that they were routing all of the US Citizens and PRs to kiosks (like the Global Entry program). It was so quick that I had to wait about an hour for my bag. This was at Dulles... maybe they are piloting a program there or something.

  8. Would you be willing to work together to create a few charts? I was thinking of making a NPIW with all recipients of this letter from April 2014 to April 2015 and compile data of only K1 via AOS'ers with NPIW letters. Maybe we could put these in a public google drive folder and share the URL in our signatures and that way everyone can add info to the spreadsheet and we can update the charts once a month.

Yeah, sure. I love making charts.

  9. With absolute astonishment, both my K-1 and K-2 were approved today for AOS. Checked USCIS website as I have done everyday since last June and for the both of them, the beautiful words appeared:

Card Was Ordered To Be Produced

For those of you still waiting, hang in there. I know it's frustrating, but the day will come when you will see those same words appear before you when you check your case status. Very happy day for all of us. :dancing::dancing::dancing:

Wow! Congratulations! Your timeline is similar to ours (including an excruciatingly long K1 wait).

  10. I like the chart. Can you explain it? I'm a chart noob it seems. :-/

Sure. Basically around the same time each month, I compile the data from the Immigration timelines (each date is represented by a different color and the specific dates are listed on the right). It only includes those adjusting from K1 visas, but includes both NPIW and those who received interviews.

The month at the bottom (on the x axis) represents the month in which NOA1 was received. The percentage (the y axis) represents the percent of adjusters who have had a decision.

As you can see from the chart, Jan has been pretty flat for the last 3 months. That makes me think that a sizable number of VJers don't update their timelines after a decision -- like close to 30%. Also, it appears that roughly 25% of VJers that complete the timeline receive interviews.

Like you said in your elegant post from earlier, this is really an extremely small sample of what USCIS deals with, so I'm not certain that any other real conclusions can be drawn. I do like looking at it like this, though, since it makes it clear that things ARE moving, albeit slowly.

  11. More than likely there is an answer for this but i've looked everywhere and found nothing.... Is there any place at all we can look at approval dates? VJ admins haven't answered any of my requests to add tracking data for NPIW cases.

Do we have somewhere at all to look at the data? a spreadsheet maybe?

What percentage of NPIW recipients are waiting 1 year from filing to receive their Greencard? 50%, 75%, 100% ??

I do this for fun sometimes.

  12. I think there are plenty of us non-UK/Canadian/Irish people out here waiting with you. Maybe we just are less vocal/active on this thread since we've already had plenty of experience with the lack of rhyme and reason from USCIS. I can still vividly remember seeing one or two non-expedited I-129f petitions being approved in a matter of weeks at the same service center where most petitions languished for months and months (when we applied, it was Vermont).

  13. Your comment and the comments about the Irish flag make me wonder... Are we screwed over with the NPIW letter because we're immigrating from solely non-fraud countries? I don't remember seeing anyone on this thread from Pakistan, Dominican Republic, Tunisia, etc (I haven't looked that far back, but it seems like most are from the UK, Mexico, Ireland, etc). We're absent of people who'd possibly be in AP for months and months while doing the K1 process. Just a thought.

Long time lurker here. We were in AP for almost 6 months (pretty standard for Morocco) and we also received the NPIW letter.
