  1. This is absolutely ridiculous, I remember after paying the fees online that the TWO only dates available were in late April and couldn't pick anything in May. Try calling the embassy +33 1 43 12 22 22

For our case we paid the $265 thru usvisa-info for Bolivia and now the embassy in Bolivia tells me that we need to pay the day of the interview, even after sending them our receipt and registration confirmation.

    What a rip off.

  2. I had to call the hotline of usvisa-info (website we have to log in to book an apointment for an interview) to get a simple answer about the payment of the fees. The person I had online was very confused about the process and didn't believe me when I told her that I had to book the interview online. I belive that the process used to be diferent but clearly it changed now and I don't know for you guys but I can speak for France. We receive instructions in the packet 3, telling us to book an apointment (we chose the date online) and pay the fees on usvisa-info.

The person I had online was not only not answering my question about the payment but was misleading me. She told me to contact the embassy and that they would be the ones to set the apointment and that it was the only way. She was rude and only had outdated informations. I tried to explain to her that there had been changes and that it didn't work like that anymore and she was just denying it. I hanged up and called again and got someone who had updated and helpful informations.

Long story short, if you have a problem with the website and you call them, all employees aren't very awware of how things work so do not hesitate to call back.

YES, same situation with the bolivia usvisa-info site, it tells me to pay at a local bank, gives me an account and all but my packet 4 instructions tell me to pay the day of the interview. We payed at the bank and kept a reciept.

  3. Planetney, I believe the one that I PM'd you with is yours, it left on April 13th, as your timeline or signature states, and made it to the embassy on the April 15th, I checked all dates between April 10th and today and that was the only one sent to Bolivia.

IMPORTANT FOR EVERYONE: Check your email SPAM or JUNK folder for the email from the Embassy...when I received mine that's where it was in the SPAM folder.

Thank you checking now, but it still says IN TRANSIT in the CEAC website. Ney

  4. I got an email last night at 2 am saying: On April 1, 2015, we sent your case, Receipt Number SRCxxxxxxxxx, to the Department of State for visa processing.

So I guess I should be calling in about 10 days to see how the process is going?

What is the advantage of calling?, just knowing that things are moving forward? or does it help expedite the process?

    THx!!!

    Ney and Claudia

  5. I'm really happy for all of you August that are approved. I am NOA - 8/21/14, and my depression is really starting to set in =/ I called today and the tier 1 wouldn't transfer me to a tier 2. I have a very mild predicament I don't talk loud or rude to anyone and this lady was just going off on me. "Sir we can not comment, sir I can't transfer you." It's not so much what she said as much as what was in her tone, the lady felt like she hated me. I feel humiliated and helpless. =[

I had the same noa1 date, you will hear from them sooon!
