My mom got approved for immigrant visa but I was wondering if she needs to pay the green card fee ($220) before she enters the USA or can she pay once she's arrive??

are they sending it to your Canadian address? If yes, that might be the issue. Try giving them your husbands address in the US.

My monset green card was approved today!!. We did have some hiccups with her interview though. She went on April 12th but they asked her to bring a photo of us together and a stamp on my passport from my last visit home. She turned those I  on Monday and Tuesday they called her to take her passport to the embassy

PANIC MODE!! So my mom's interview is in the morning and while reviewing her documents again I just realized that I sent the wrong DS form..I sent 261 instead of 260. Do you think that would be an issue or would they proceed with the interview and ask her to bring it later if all goes well? 😠😠😠😠 I'm so nervous and made at myself

I would say call NVC and ask to speak to a supervisor. I had a similar situation where I received a case completed email stating my mom was in queue for interview, but they also sent another email (checklist) stating I was missing a w2 form but to bring that with her to interview

Does it state anywhere in the letter that she can take it to the interview once it's scheduled. If not I would recommend you send them another copy of the police certificate

Finally received my mom's interview date today!!! NVC case was completed on Feb 7th

I sent my civil documents and AOS package to NVC on dec 6th and was told it was received on the 9th. But when I just checked my case status on ceac it's saying to submit documents..is that normal? I know I had put suite 200 instead of 100 because that's what was on the welcome letter with the checklist

I'm currently filling out form I864 but i'm wondering if my spouse needs to fillearn out i864a since we filed our taxes together last yr? My income alone is sufficient to sponsor my mom

I just received NVC welcome letter, while looking at the list of documents to send it see they're asking for unexpired passports. Do I send mine or my mom's?? I had already sent photocopiesome of mine to USCIS

Just received an NOA2  notice in the mail dated 10/12/17.  The only update I received on the app was basically a name update,

After 8 months since I sent my mom's I130 I finally got an update on the app tonight..it said "name was updated". I never sent info to update name, any ideas why it would be updated??

I had given him that option but stated that I won't pay for it. He didn't respond. I can't speak for him but I think in his mind he believes we have to be together for the 2 yrs and after he receives the ROC he can leave. Or he's looking for me to pay the fee for ROC since I paid for the green card. At this time I am looking for a place to move out.

So I'm looking for advice on what options I have? My husband came here on  K-1 and he's approaching his 2yrs. But for the past year I have noticed changes in his behavior. A couple of months after he came he went to visit some family in a different state and when he came back i discovered he was attempting to hook up with a friend of someone in the family (of course he denied). I tried to move past that but i couldn't trust him. Fast forward we have been having issues mainly supposedly infidelity. He has made some friends at work and around but although he mentions them by name he has never introduced me personally and I had went through our phone records and discovered he was talking to a female at odds hours. When confronted, he told me and everyone that it was a friend then turned around and got ano extra phone # which he didn't give to me(we'r on the same.plan). Since the 1st incident he doesn't let me havery access to his phone ( based on principles). We did have an incident after the last argument where I threw his things out due to anger and disappointed. Our families have tried to intervene but he tells them I'm too jealous and that when he was coming we had agreed that we were only going to "try". We barely talk and I recently asked if he was happy, he replied "I don't know". I  would not have spent my time and money to "try". He also let it slipped that he has been documenting everything that has happened. I know most will suggest a divorce but I'm not in the financial space right now to be able to.afford one and I believe he is only waiting to get his permanent GC to leave.

Same here. I filed for my mom on Jan 26 and still no response. I called Uscis and was told the processing time is 6 months to 1yr

Sent my petition for I-i30 today for my mom, was super nervous and double checked to make sure everything was included.  Compared to the k1 visa I petitioned for this seems like less paperwork was needed

She is 12...right now she stays with my mom and grandmother but my grandmother is unable to care for anyone. So I understand that I cannot file for her but will I add her on the form so if my mother decides she wants to file for her, USCIS already has her listed as a dependent?

She doesn't have a parent who is alive..her mom passed away a couple of months ago

I'm filing for my mother to come to the U.S., about 1 yr ago she took in a little girl whose mother couldn't afford to put her in school. The girl'she father was already deceased and recently her mom passed away also. My question is can I add the girl on the I30 form to come with my mom since she basically have no other guardian? What will I need?? Just to clarify also my country people usually don't do adoptions if they can't take care of there kids they usually send them to live with someone they feel can give them a better life. PLEASE HELP AS I DON'T WANT THIS TO MAKE MY MOM'S PROCESS DIFFICULT

Ok so filling out the Fafsa form it's asking if he filed taxes, on my tax return he's not included in it because he had no SS# or green card at the time. So how do we go about that?

hi my husband came here on a k1 visa and now has a green card. when i filed my tax return this year he wasnt listed on it cause at the time we weren't married yet but now he wants to take college courses. will he be able to receive financial aid with his green card or does he have to pay out of pocket for the courses?

Received EAD and AP approval update today!! Hopefully card comes soon
