I think having your first degree from the U.S. is a plus...International experience shows that you're versatile and your English is good. I would seek an entry level job just to keep busy, but keep applying for jobs that are more suited to your experience. What degree do you have? Just curious..

I don't know, but I think optimized sounds better than accepted, wouldn't you say?

I'm wondering about this as well... anybody?

I'm sure you *can* do it, but technically it's not right. It's called throwaway ticketing. I read it can get you blacklisted with some airlines if you do this (again, I'm sure the chances of this happening if you do this once are low). I also didn't want any kind of trouble at POE - I don't think it would come up that you had a return ticket, but I don't want to give any impressions other than I'm staying to live in the US. I'm sure lots of people do get round trip tickets, though. I was able to find a one way for around $1000 (around the same price as round trip) so it worked out.
Oh ok, thanks for the response. I never heard of the blacklist issue, I guess its safe to be on the sure side then.

To Orlando from where... Kingston? Have you tried all the booking sites like Travelocity/Orbitz/Kayak? The results are usually the same for all of them but you never know. One way tickets are so expensive, though! And 3 days is very short notice, so it's going to be worse. Good luck with that!
I just booked my ticket for March 16. I keep saying "tickets" and my wife keeps correcting me that it's only A ticket because it's one way. The flight that I wanted originally for March 14 sold out, so I thought it was time to buy if I wanted a "cheap" flight (same price as roundtrip and not double). Hoping my visa is ready sometime next week though, the waiting is killing me.
Hey, just wondering... were you not able to get a 2 way ticket? I was planning on getting a 2 way ticket since it's much cheaper than a one way ticket...

Just wondering if anybody who got an AOS checklist if in the letter it said we have to wait for 60 BUSINESS days??? In mine it says business days... this just keeps on getting worse and worse.... Wasn't it 60 calender days??

I got a checklist because of some problems on my AOS form. Do i have to send the corrected one with supporting documents that I've already sent before or send the corrected form alone?
Thanks
Hello, I was wondering if in your checklist letter if it said you had to wait for 60 days or 60 business days? Mine says 60 business days so this seems to be something new (at least for me)

Working and declaring dependents
in Tax & Finances During US Immigration
Posted
Hello, just had a quick question. I am a U.S. citizen and am currently working. When I started working they asked me if I had any dependents....so I mentioned my 2 kids, but not my husband since he has a sponsor. Do I declare him as a dependent too or will I have problems with that? He is not working now and is a recent permanent legal resident. Thanks.
