  1. Gasp* Deep Breath...okay, I will try to do this without crying again today....I miss him sooooo much, and I have already cried my eyes out.

I miss looking in his eyes and seeing the twinkle there and when he just sits and looks at me when I pretend not to notice.

I miss cooking with him. We like to make seafood pizza together. Funny, never thought I would like that.

I miss the way he cuddles me at night and puts his leg over me to make sure I am still there.

I miss the way he says, in his language "scratch me", (chemz-ai) and won't let me go to sleep until I scratch his head for a long time.

I miss watching Spanish/Mexican soap operas together.

I miss his happy presence in the morning. I miss his hugs and kisses so so much.

I miss the way he kisses me with his eyes open and never wants to stop.

I miss the way he always checks on me if we are in the house doing separate things, but he stops to come and hug me and put music on for us, and dance with me in the kitchen

    I miss things I can't tell about....he he

I miss him playing guitar and singing songs he made up for me in all our languages.

I miss him keeping me in the back when we had male workers in the house and he entertained our guest.

I miss the way he protects me. I even miss his mom and aunts. I miss my Zizi.

    Jean....please pass the choclate.

  2. Great Topic! I can't wait to take Aziz...downtown Seattle, the creek behind my apartment that has all the cherry trees and ripening blackberries by it...in my neighborhood where there are squirrels and beaver...Honestly, I just moved back here myself and want to explore everything with him....*sigh* Just take him to a restaurant or for a drive across the Cascades. Its going to be so beautiful...

  3. Dear Fellow Sojourners:

Thank you so much for sharing. I am so happy for Sarah and Hicham, who apparently got the visa Friday! The information in this thread has been invaluable to me this morning. Aziz was given AP after his interview 5-31-06. We have been trying to wait patiently, but I am almost melting down now. His NOA approval expires next Friday. I sent a message to the consulate in Casa reminding them to please request an extension. I am considering calling an attorney and my senator and Casablanca by Tuesday if they don't answer my email tomorrow.

Thank you, thank you for sharing information.....for your humor (I need a drool rag too, Jean!) I just hope this process will be over for all of us very soon, and we will still retain enough sanity to enjoy life!

  4. Okay folks, while we are on the subject of 221g, and I am again getting more stressed out the more I read these forums....please help!

Interview date for Aziz was 5/31. After an interview with that lady everyone seems to know about, he was given a 221g that said, "Please get a new passport." After that, in the form letter, it said, "In addition your case requires administrative processing in Washington, D.C. We will contact you when these processes are complete."

I assume this is AP. How is AP different from AR, or is it the same? Since it has been returned to Washington, should we just wait patiently, or try to do something.

I am of the conviction that being courteous with the people in Casa will help us a lot more to expedite things than if I try to raise hell. But we are under a lot of stress and I need him here sooner rather than later.

    Please.....any advice?

  5. Hi all,

Well, if the whole visa process in Morocco isn't enough to put you on tranquilizers...since I have been back in the states from living over there I have been working for the world's biggest jerk as an executive assistant and can't take much more. (After I started working, I was told he had been thru 7 assistants in two years before me...he is a real a**hole to work for!) I have been hanging in there, mainly for Zizi, because of the I-134 thing and to show there is financial stability. Well, I got my real estate license again yesterday, and seriously want to take the plunge and get out of there. As I mentioned in an earlier thread, he was placed on 221g after his interview 5/31/06 and told to get a new passport.

Question: At this point, will me going from a wage job to a commission job (and it could be lean for awhile) affect anything? Is it possible that during AP, they verify my employment right now?

  6. Aymerlu,

Hang it there sweetie, you WILL see him again. We gotta live one day at a time with this, (easier said than done), keep hoping, till he has that visa in hand. We are in AP right now in Morocco. Everything is going to be okay. And man, when these men finally arrive.....I don't ever want to spend a night away from him again! Amen?

  7. Hi all!

Well, Aziz had his interview at Casa last Wednesday. All seemed to go well, in spite of some very embarrassing questions...She said the paperwork looked good. Then she looked at his passport (which had just been renewed and is supposed to be good for either 5 or 10 more years), and said that he would have to get a new one because the Moroccan passport issuer had apparently taped it together in a way that is not acceptable. They gave him a 221g that only had that box checked with the remark typed in, "Please get a new passport." She said THEY would call HIM. I don't understand unless they are also doing some processing, but the letter didn't say that.

He went all the way back to his corner of the country and was told IF he really does need a new passport (and they suggested he verify that with some local agent) it will take about 6 weeks to get. His NOA2 states that it is good til July 14th.

My question is: What if he doesn't get his passport by July 14th. Do we have to do anything to get his NOA2 date extended?

Thanks for all of you who so selflessly share your experience and knowledge. I am grateful!

  8. Dorothy, I am estatic for you both! Not only for your happiness but because it is an encouraging word for the rest of us waiting on Morocco. God bless you both. The rest will be a piece of cake now.

Today, exactly one month since the interview in Casablanca (3/14/06) my fiance got a phone call from them telling him that he will be issued his visa on Monday!!!!!:dance::dance: I will have my love with me so soon...Thank you Lord...

I still can not believe our luck but I know that with God's blessing all is possible....I am the happiest woman alive and finally can breath...thank you all for your support and I will be back soon doing our AOS...to all that are still waiting...keep the positive energy going and you will be in my prayers...

  9. I just want to say that I think Casablanca is getting nicer. They actually answered my email in regards to checking the status of receiving my fiances papers. They even let me know that his packet was mailed out to him and that his interview is for April 4th, 2006. This is scary, they are answering in a timely fashion and giving more info then requested. Maybe this is the calm before the storm :P

    Leila

 What great news! Try to get some sleep at night....everything will be fine. Keep us posted Leila!

  10. Hey, thanks so much for taking the time to share and for the encouragement. And I hope you soon see approval in your process. I hope you are able to be over there with your sweetheart in the meantime.

Just be prepared to defend ur age differences, have plenty of proof of ur ongoig relationship.. And be totally honest about everything. The embassy even called me on the day of my fiances interview and interviewed me over the phone for almost an hour. There were a few questions i didnt know the answer too ....one being "what was the name of your fiances college" I answered truthfully... I cant pronouce most of ur names, ask me who his friends were during his college days,, ask me what he studied, ask me what was some of his "antics" he pulled.. I can answer. but I dont know the name of the school. " Honesty is always the best policy!! that is never more true than when dealing with immigration. And btw he didnt ask me one question about our age

Best of luck to you... I hope your journey is "snaggle " free, and you are soon with your loved one.

    Vick/Bala

Thank you Vick/Bala....I really appreciate your honesty and sharing your experience. Am I right in assuming you are still waiting for your approval. (I checked your timeline.) I would love an email when you know.

I am pretty stressed out today. One negative email can really do me in, and not all were as forthright as yours. I need to take it a day at a time, I guess. But since I am going to be sending in a new mailing address for him, I think I will see what new evidence of our relationship I can scrape up to send with it! I love your word about honesty being the best policy. I'm sure that is true!

I wish you both a very happy future together!

  11. Hi all!

We sent in the I-129F on January 9, 2006 and they sent notice January 12. We are spending tons of hours every week on MSN. I am so grateful for the technology that enables us to see each other and stay in touch, but even so, am missing Aziz terribly.

My brother happens to be going through this same process of bringing his fiancee overseas but has more moola so has decided to hire an attorney. He freaked me out momentarily today telling me his attorney said a big age difference between fiancees can be a factor in making it difficult to be approved. Aziz is 27 and I am 49.

I have included LOTS of documentation proving our relationship is "real". Aziz and I have known each other for 6 years and I lived near where he did all during that time.

We are crazy about each other and best friends besides. I don't know what we'll do if he can't get approved to come here. Me living there is an unlikely option for economic reasons. Without going into details, our romantic relationship resulted in both of us losing our jobs there, and the part of Morocco he is from is very economically depressed.

Any experiences from anyone out there?

    Thanks!
