    CONGRATS!

    Approved! :) :) :)

    CONGRATS!

I just had to disappear for a while... it was all getting a bit much for me after the confusion with previous petitions and this seemingly never ending wait but I am happy to say that I have had my interview and was approved. I feel exhausted from it all but so excited that we can finally be together.

Thank you all for your support and goodwill ... congratulations to everyone for your endurance through this process and I hope that if you are not already with your 'other half' that you will be very very soon.

  4. What else could go wrong?

Today we receive an email from the consulate stating :

Please find enclosed a letter which explains the existence of ineligibility under section 212 (a) (6) © (i) if, however, you can apply for a "waiver" the link to this objective is at the foot of the letter we sent you.

Section 212 (a)(6)©(i) is about committing fraud to enter the US. Under certain conditions the penalty is a lifetime ban of entering the US.

They do not explain what it is for, but the only action to commit fraud to enter the US was by her ex-husband by altering the visa expiration date in HIS passport of a family visa that was issued years ago in which my fiance was not present at the time he attempted to enter the US.

I am not sure what to do at this point, the waiver application fee is $585, but if it was her ex-husband and not her who try to commit the fraud I don't see why I would need to apply for a waiver. This more like extortion.

I did write the Consul back to explain that it wasn't my fiance and if they could look into further.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. The only suggestion anyone here can make is you might need an attorney to give you better representation.

  5. Oh ok

I thought I need to have my fiancé'so tax paper which is the one he will get after he filed ones.

I need to ask my fiancé!!

Depending on the state ur fiancee is in it can take up to 3 weeks for the returns to come back, the federal one is usually within a week. Tokyo Embassy recved our paper work but I guess they sent packet 3 during golden week and we haven't gotten it yet. =[ Is the Tokyo packet 3 only ds-160? What else is there do u have to do?

  6. Good morning VJ family. I very happy to write to you today but a little nervous. We have been given an interview date for 05/21/15. We can't wait for this whole journey to be over. We pray for everything to go well that day and we need your prayers as well. Thanks.

My fiancé will be going for his medical next week.

I wish everyone still waiting all the best. Hang in there, very soon it will be over.

Congratulations and don't worry! Love conquers all. Best wish from us. and best of luck in all of your endeavors. Please fill out your timeline when you can it helps everyone else that goes through this miserable experience.

  7. We are in Transit!!!!

No. It's given to you by NVC. So when you call for your case number ask for your invoice and beneficiary number as well because you will need it to fill out the DS 160 online. Hope this helps.

    Thank you!

Hi, yes, we are London :)

Our case status has had a few updates and I knew what 3 of them were, but now it's all very mysterious.

Our case showed as 'Ready' the day DHL delivered the package (April 10th)

I submitted the readiness form on April 12th which was a Sunday and there was an update on April 13th

Our medical results were received and our case showed an update on April 15th.

There was an update on April 17th, but we have no idea what it was. We had been trying to make sure they had my new address because I've moved and USCIS didn't respond to our letter to them in January, so it could have been that.

it's exciting, yet a bit of an anticlimax now that, after waiting so long and then having enjoyed a month of continuous progress, all we can do is wait for them to send a letter with the interview date.

jignid, don't fret about it. You can call NVC again and get them. You only need these numbers later on when you pay for the visa fees. Give them a call tomorrow night. I know there is a wait, but NVC agents have been so nice every time we called it's a pleasure after USCIS.

    Thank you!

  8. Sometimes it takes several weeks for the Consulate to get back to you after your file is received from NVC. You can start with filling out the DS 160 online, but you will need your case number, invoice number and beneficiary number from NVC. I understand you can't wait for this process to be over.

I am really confused about what you mean by invoice number, case number, and beneficiary number. Can you explain. Do you mean your NVC case number, USCIS case number and Alien Number?

  9. After she get instruction from embassy, she needs to make DS-160 online and then make her profile.

After that she needs to prepare for stuff on check list.

    http://japanese.japan.usembassy.gov/mobile//j/visa/tvisaj-niv-kchecklist.html

This is URL for checklist and it's in Japanese so if you wanna see in English you can change language too.

After that she get on your profile that she made online and pay fee then make an appointment for her interview.

It'll be sometime on Monday in Japan time.(they will decided what's the date)

Instruction that she will get is in English and Japanese so I'm sure she won't have trouble reading or understanding stuff.

I'm fiance by the way so I'm Japanese. If she or ofcourse you need help, we can help each other .

Good luck and tell her I said good luck too :)

Hope we get visa soon real soon !

Cool Thank you so much. Do keep your timeline updated both her and I are trying to figure how much time it takes from submission of packet 3 to getting an interview date. Thanks again for the advise/ heads up. We are hoping we get an NVC number soon.

  10. Oh ok !!

    Thank you for helping.

I'm waiting for all the papers to come in then I can make an appointment for medical then finally interview !!!

    Whewwwww almost there.

    Good luck everyone.

Hey, how does it work with Tokyo Embassy, my fiancee she is going to go there. Do you get to pick the interview date? Did you have this info with your packet 3? Or do you send it in and then wait for them to issue the date? Really want to know the whole process after Packet 3 in tokyo and I can't find the info anywhere.
