  1. Congratulations! :)

Yes, you can enter at any port of entry - so any airport you fly into from outside the country is fine. Remember to ensure that you enter before your visa expires and to take your big envelopes. You'll get "secondary processing" where they will take you to a separate area, and take photos and fingerprints for your green card - all border posts are set up for this.

I'm not sure what the taxes question refers to?

    Hi Susie ,

so sorry for so late response , and thanks for your attention , i was on travel and just come back , i landed :)) in Houston and stayed there for 15 days and just come , i have a lot of questions i need your help for that , i will share so soon .

  2. First of all , I would like to thank all members in this forum especially “ Susie “ - you are a wonderful person , it was so simple interview .

I prepared all the documents , put it in plastic files ( original , translated and copy) , my interview time was at 12:30 , I was there with my family at 12.

( no need to come early , there was a queue and I entered at 12:45 ).

After that I took a number and I was waiting to be called , then I went alone to window-12 with all passports only , he took it and asked me to wait.

They called me again after 15 min to window-7 , he was a very gentle person , I went alone , he asked me to call my wife and daughter to attend with me , he was speaking in English asking ( what is your birth date – where did you born , my university …so simple questions )

Then he asked me to go pay the interview fees ( 1254 SAR per person ) then he started to ask my wife the same .

Then I came back to him with the receipt he was writing his comments then he started to speak in Arabic ( it was the a surprise J ) and asked for the documents

    Docs :

Birth Certificates for me and my wife ( Original , translated )

Birth Certificates for my kid ( EGYPTIAN certificates and Saudi Certificates + Translated ) – they were born in Saudi

My High school Certificate and University certificate .

    Army Exemption Certificate.

    Marriage Certificate

Iqama ( residency ) photos for all

Police Records certificate ( Saudi + Egyptian ) + translated ones

Finical situation ( Bring last 6 months statement from the Bank )

    2 5x5 photos for all

    NOTE :

translate all the documents in one of the authorized translation offices by US embassy

here in this link : http://riyadh.usembassy.gov/root/pdfs/translators-may-20010.pdf

after that he asked me to wait for calling to the interview .

we back to seats waiting for around 20 min , then the called us window-13 , it is the interview.

So respectful person , simple question ( what is my plans there ..) then raise your right hand and swear.

Then he asked me to keep the passports with the embassy or I prefer to take it and return it back to them when the visa comes.

I took the passports then they emailed me that my visa is ready , I sent all passports via FEDEX ( SMSA) with return back receipt ( it means I paid the double – from office to embassy then from embassy to office again )

After 2 weeks I got the passports with VISAs , then I paid the fees for the VISAs , you will find the

    steps right here http://www.uscis.gov/forms/uscis-immigrant-fee

That’s all , good luck for everyone

I need the help to know some information there , what should I do , Taxes , can I land in any Airport ……???

  3. It depends on where you're interviewing. Some embassies insist on having a sponsor. others are ok with just bank statements. And some don't even ask for either. I would suggest you email the embassy where you're interviewing and ask them whether an affidavit of support is needed.

For bank statements, $25,000 or more for a family of 4 (parents plus 2 kids) should be enough.

you have any idea about Riyadh Embassy in KSA ?

  4. What embassy are you interviewing at, and where did you see "many members" post that? Was it in a forum for your country? There are only a couple of embassies that require prior submission of documents - most of them do not contact applicants beforehand at all.

KSA , i saw it here in the forum , no it was not in the forum of KSA .

i thought it is a general rule that i have to submit my documents before the interview.

thanks Susie so much for clarification.

  5. Hello Everyone

i submitted my DS-260 Form and i got an email that i have my interview in March.

i observed that Many of the members say that " they got a call from the Embassy to prepare the documents and they went to the embassy and provided

the requested documents after that they got an interview date "

actually i got confused , as no one called me or asked me for anything , they just told me in the email to prepare all DOCs with me during the interview.

    please advise .

  6. No, they won't disqualify you for that, so relax about that, however if your interview is that soon you should have got notification by now (and also if your file has been transferred to the embassy, which it would have been with an imminent interview, you can only make further changes to the DS at the interview anyway). When did you originally submit your DS260? And have you checked the entrant status check website for any updates?

My DS260 submitted at 27 May 2014 and my number is 14xxx and per bulletin ( EGY as a special case ) , FEB 12,000 MARCH 15,700

so it means that my interview most probably at FEB and i sent emails to KCC they said that my interview scheduler is under processing

    Bulletin

    http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/law-and-policy/bulletin/2015/visa-bulletin-for-february-2015.html

when i am checking the site http://www.dvlottery.state.gov.

still there is no update " You have been randomly selected for further ....."

Question here , i finished DS260 and appears "completed" status and i am preparing my documents these days , there is any step should i do on internet ? any form i have to fill ? or just i have to wait till getting notification ?

  7. Sorry for my Mistake

thanks for your reply , yes i am expecting the interview in the coming 3 weeks , Yes i can take My baby with me in the interview

    My questions here

1- should i update DS-260 online now , or should i wait to the interview ?

2- i am afraid that , they will disqualify me as i did not add her on my DS-260 before the interview , is it right ?
