@ angelwithoutwings, I'm also a new citizen and considering sponsoring for my parents. I've read through the form I-130, and noticed they're not asking for taxes. If you don't mind, can you please explain after I submit this I-130 form what's next. Just trying to get an idea of the documents I'll need, fees I'll have to pay etc. thanks a lot!

Hi! I got 2 updates last night and 1 today. Today's update had the "if not received by date". For me it was June 20.

Today I received an email from USCIS stating -> "We scheduled your oath ceremony for Receipt Number NBC*00558****. We sent a notice with the date, time, and location of your oath ceremony to the address you gave us"

I'm so close!

Hello there!

I had my interview today at the Holtsville office. My interview was scheduled for 2:10pm and I arrived at 1:30pm. I was not aware that my hubby could have accompanied me to the waiting area until I got inside. No biggie; he needed a nap after our long drive so he was doing so in the car.

I was called at 2:15pm and the first question from the officer was "Where is your husband today?" I told him that he was sleeping in the parking lot. I also said that if I was aware that he could come in with me, I would have brought him in. He said, "Ok." I was sworn in and asked for my green card and passport. He then asked for my birth certificate but then he found it in the file. He asked for my tax paperwork for the last three years. He asked me the questions from the N-400 form, then asked me to read a sentence, then write a sentence. He then asked me 6 questions and the only ones I remember right now are:

~ Who is the Chief Justice?

~ How many years do we elect a U.S Representative?

~ Who was the first President?

~ Name one war fought by the U.S in the 1900s?

After the questions, he asked me for proof that my husband and I are still married and living together. Once that was provided, he made the copies, stamped my paperwork approved and handed me the N-652 form where he had checked off "Congratulations! Your application has been recommended for approval."

Congrats!!! The IO mentioned to me that the oath ceremony would be in Islip.

Congratulations to all of you who have had your interviews and are awaiting your oath ceremonies, and to those of you who have already become US citizens. I am counting down to my interview date.

Does "case is in line for oath ceremony" means it got aprooved and we just need to wait to be scheduled for oath?

Question:, After the interview did you guys get an update on your case stating that "your case is under supervisor review" or only got "case is in line for oath ceremony"?

Thanks guys! @ dimcherney, didn't take any photos or joint stuff but I'll advice your wife to take any and everything you all have because I believe in being over prepared. Better to have something & not need it than an iO asking for something & you don't have it. It's just a little more weight ?

I'm trying to log in to USCIS website to check on my case but it's saying my username is invalid. I know my username is correct. So, wondering if anyone else is experiencing this problem? Or if just me, please share your experience. Thanks!!!
