Hello there.. yes, the schedules are not shown.. you have to call us embassy Manila to schedule.. Dial 006329768500 and press 1-2-1-2.. My sched was supposed to be last Feb 2 but I called them to cancel it because of medical reason.. They will ask the beneficiary name, mcn and birthday.. Good luck. :-)
Thanks a lot

Hi,
Can anyone advised if NVC scheduled interview date can no longer be selected on online appointment.
1. Should I simply select the earliest schedule?
2. Does the NVC letter mean, they scheduled my interview and I don't have to do it?
3. I'm worried about not being accepted at embassy without DS-160 or the appointment confirmation.
4. Does the letter suffice to attend the interview at the embassy?
Thanks,
-
Yes.
You need a copy of the persons checks
Thanks,
Can you advise if the "Paid via Bank Account" details (Name & email) is for the account owner information or the beneficiary/petitioner?

Hi,
Can I use another checking account to pay the AOS and IV fee via ACH? (US account but not in the petitioner or beneficiary's name).
Also, can anyone send screenshots on how to do it?
Thanks,

If there's no US account, can I send a cashier's check from my country's local bank? Is that acceptable?
PS: I'm a widow and working on my own visa abroad.
Thanks,

Hi, is there an expiration to the NOA2. Say no one called NVC to get the case number after 3 months?

Hi everyone what does it mean if the status online says?
"Case Was Sent To The Department of State
On February 5, 2016, we sent your case, Receipt Number LINxxxxxxxx, to the Department of State for visa processing. Please visit our website for general information on Consular Processing."

Hello,
I was asked by my father in law to provide a 'personal representative' letter to give them right to manage my husband estate.
Anyone knows about this?
Better if sample could be given.
I'm currently in a different country and my husband has petitioned me with IR1/CR1 but it was not approved yet when he died.
My parents in law are trustworthy and I know I won't be able to do anything from here. And my husband estate is not much, in US standard, that is.
Thanks,

Hi,
We have a pending I-130 that's currently in received status and my husband died last month.
Anyone whose able to go to U.S. with widow visa?
How long did the process take?
I was always advised to informed USCIS about my husband's death but the local USCIS told me to call the USCIS hotline to inform them.
Then I called the USCIS hotline and they told me to set up an infopass appointment in the local USCIS..
What am I to do?
How can I send the death certificate to USCIS?
The hotline seems telling I don't have to do anything since the petition will be automatically converted..
Thanks for any help or advice..

Hi,
My husband petition for me via CR1.
Status is received-Feb 26.
Unfortunately he was killed in a motorcycle accidents last March 31.
I found out I could petition myself using 136 (widow visa). My husband petition would be converted to from 130-136.
My questions are:
1. How long does this process takes considering the current status of the petition?
2. Should I inform the USCIS now?
Or wait for the 130 petition to be approved?
3. If it got approved, what should I do next?
4. Do I need a sponsor in the US for widow visa?
5. What would be the basis for me to get approved?
6. Would they look at my finances? I have a good job right now. But I don't have my own house etc.
Thanks in advance

Thanks for all who responded
I tried to get another appointment schedule..
Unfortunately I got monday next week which is late
His final rights will be this Saturday and I don't want to delay it any further even if my in laws are willing
I want my husband to lay to rest..
I'm still trying to check if any earlier slots would be available..
Thought it seems unlikely..
It doesn't seem right..
But I believe the reason of my denial wAs because I don't have our NSO copy of birth certificate..
I only have the local city copy..
But the consul just denied me not telling why..
I have letters from his parents, cousin, mortuary and I have certificate of employment
All were never asked and looked at
Also News reports about him
No death certificates yet according to my in laws
It's really unfortunate..
That they don't show any compassion to a grieving person..
I'm not sure yet if I want to pursue the petition, my husband is the only reason I want to go there
Thought I care for my in laws they've been like real parents to me
I don't have any american dream though
I just fell in love

We got married just last year nov 28, 2014
I do want to pursue the migration
Although if it would be to tedious, I will probably not..
Since I'll be doing it alone now
My husband already filed the CR1 and the status is just "received" last feb 26, 2015
For now, I'm seeking visa simply to attend the funeral..
His parents live there so we're keeping him there..
He's born american and his parents too..
Husband passed away March 31, 2015..
He was killed in a motorcycle accident ..
Yes it's still fresh..
I'm lost and it hurts..
I lost half of me and I'm slowly losing my fight

Hi,
I just called the embassy and they advised just to bring the letter from NVC and that will suffice.
Thanks again
