  1. My gut reaction is NO she should not have to do the evaluation again, but you never know... greed is a funny critter.

BTW I think your decision is good to redo the medical, it give you some breathing room.

Hey Hank were both wrong. My wife sent an email to inquire about redoing her medical...geuss what...she needs to do the Personal Evaluation again.

  2. Thanks Hank. Actually i asked a stupid question but like what you think greed is a funny critter. Ofcourse if she will do the Personal Evaluation she will reply the same answer with the same question right?

I just hope it would take a one day to do the medical this time.

  3. Oh that's what you meant. I thought she was warning you that anyday now it could happen. I think it's wise what you're doing and can spend a little vacation there before she comes and won't feel rushed at the last second when it's issued.

Yeah thanks. Quick question to you and Hank

My wife did the Personal Evaluation when she did the Medical last April..reason is she jad a previous marriage annulled. So do you think she will undergo that again?

  4. That's a bummer, they should have reviewed it right there.....

Actually yes the nice lady told they can do something right away and can issue the visa anytime..but we dont need a visa that will expire on sept 23 because i already booked our one week vacation in palawan and another week in Manila. So my wife just need a letter from them that she can do an advance medical at st lukes so we can enjoy each other before leaving philippines. What we need is to ectend the visa validity.

  5. Well my wife withdraw her passport today...guess what? Her medical which is her 221g was never been reviewed by anyone. The nice lady told her if she is sure she wants to withdraw her passport because she can do something and it will be issued anytime. My wife took it anyway because it will expire on sept 23. The lady gave her a paper and a pen and she was asked to make a request letter. She requested to allow her to redo her medical even if yhe old medical was still not yet expired so they can process the visa and if possible to issue it on September so we will leave philippines together on october.

    Ill update everyone

  6. Visa validity IS tied to the date of the medical (6 months max). I would not withdraw the passport until it is absolutely necessary.

I am thinking if she will not withdraw her visa and issued then she needs to go to US September 23. My arrival date in manila will be on sept 20. I am ok to just redo the medical in case they will call to send back her medical so another 6 months before it expires. Im planning to stay until oct 5. Do you think if visa will be issued on september they will not give some adjustment to the visa validity?

  7. My wife is under administrative processing for 4 months now. Her medical will expire next month september 23. I booked my flight going there to visit her and my son. I took vacation and i was allowed to have it only for next month. Sept 20 is my arrival. My question is ..if her visa will be issued..lets say this month or early next month...does it mean the visa validity is until September 23 only and she need to go to US?

we were thinking of withdrawing her passport so anytime the cinsule called for her to bring the passport back she can just redo her medical so she can extend the validity. But as i am reading someone said the 6 month period of the medical is for interview..applicant must have her interview before the medical reach 6 month period and once issued the 6 month doesnt count. It depends on the visa validity and its not really tied up with medical validity. Please enlighten me before mu wife will travel going to manila.thank you

  8. I had my expedite request approved before I got a case number in mid January. I just received my case number on feb 19 and they still haven't sent it out. Is anyone else in the same situation?? At first I was given different stories that I shouldn't pay or send anything and then another rep told me the opposite. I went ahead filled out the choice of agent and paid my AOS bill and 9 days later it's still processing. 2 weeks ago I received an email that the file was being sent immediately but still is sitting at NVC. I'm so frustrated right now can anyone shed some light on what I should do or why it might be taking so long. thanks guys

my request to expedite was approved. here is my time line

March 2 scan date for my AOS and IV package

March 13 sent request to expedite the case

March 15 my case was under review

    March 17 approved !!!

March 17 status in CEAC in transit

March 18 status in CEAC Ready

    March 23 for medical

    April 06 for interview

    well I just wanna share

Hey Stefie, id like to ask how soon did you know that your expedite was approved? Was it through email or phone call?

    Thanks

I thought you were approved too????

  9. I read she's been working ever since she got her card, while he's been at home for over 6 months. So it's his fault they are in debt, no? She is suporting her family, and he wants presents when he cannot even support himself?

that's what I'm trying to say with my first comment. If they were telling a filipina married an American guy for green card...I heard also some american guy married filipina to work and help them to pay their debts.

  10. You just heard the one side of the story. let's not judge the other person involve here when she actually doesn't really know that she's been judged , criticized, and so on. If you are giving negative comments against his wife you're making it more complicated.

OP you need to ask her to sit and talk. If she don't listen to you then do the plan B..never allow her to have access with your credit card. but plan A will be better thing for you to do. It's your life. It's your marriage life and it's your wife.

  11. Don't get me wrong..did you marry her to spend for you.i dont care if she's sending money to her family as long as she work for it. and giving her a gift is my choice and I'm not expecting anything in return.

but for my wife since she's not working in kuwait I never expect she can give something but I'm surprised every time there is special occasion she got me something. lol she's good in budgeting and she ask me if she can send some amount to send to her mom..and its okay for me. you know why...that is her reward to keep the house clean. I don't treat her as a maid but filipina knows how to take care of a family.

And to you..well ask yourself if you love her or you just marry her to spend money for you lol

  12. @Liampot- if you stay here in Philippines for 6 months, you can apply her I-130 DCF. It's faster than thru NVC. My husband filed our I-130 Feb 2, 2015 got approved March 2, got our appointment interview date for April 6. Once you're done completing DS-260 online form, you can set an interview date right away.

we didn't know about that. But my wife is reading too much. She just learned about it when she's back in the Philippines. and here is the bad thing happened. When we are at USCIS stage we got RFE. we're waiting for the letter we will received and nothing.i keep calling and they keep saying to resend it and was told to wait 15 days before I will received it. thrice it happened only to find out they are sending it in kuwait. I already change my address before I left kuwait. I think they've waisted 4 months of our time. so June 2012 to march 2014 I spent dealing with USCIS people.

  13. so I have a question. I have a job offer in kuwait and my wife's application is now at NVC. I'm planning to let her stay with her sister in Las Vegas while I'm in kuwait. I'm from South Carolina.

if ever, is it okay if POE of my wife will be direct in Las Vegas since I will not be in US during her arrival. we're planning to tell this to the console during her interview.
