Sounds like your information has not been entered into the SAVE system. If this is the case, you will have to wait a few weeks while they verify your VISA information with USCIS.

How long ago did you enter the US?

i came here in dec 2005 and applied for AOS/EAD in MAY. Anyways is it normal if ur information is not being entered into the SAVE system??i am kinda worried

Thanks sukie, she didnt say anything like that .she just said that we will have to varify ur status n docs, n this may take few weeks. May be thats beacause my AOS is still pending and i have recieved only NOA 1 so far. she also took copies of my NOAs, EAD and marriage certificate.

The other day i applied for SSN and the lady there said they are going to verify my documents and status and it may take several weeks, however if i dont get card within 60 days then i can contact them. Is this how the SSN thing works?? i am here on k3 visa and have already got the EAD.

i am not a very active VJ member but i have been following all the posts that were of great help. i truly appreciate. well i am here with a good news that i have recieved my EAD today. my EAD was approved with in just one month. My AOS is still pending and i just hope it would go smooth like EAD.

I have a Q regarding SSN as i ve applied for ssn today and the lady there said that it would take few weeks and we can contact them if we dont get ssn within 60 days. How long does it usually take to get a SSN?? i am here on K3 visa. any idea when i would be getting it!

i just wonder if they are going to schedule 2nd appoinment as i have paid for one biometrics only. Do they charge for one biomatrics but schedule two separate appointments for AOS and EAD?...

anyways in my case i guess i should be cool and calm and wait for the next steps. i appreciate ur help.you guys are great!!

Thanku all for sharing your experiences. it truly helped me. now i guess i should wait for the second biometrics appointment unless any miracle happens and they approve my EAD without another biometrics.

i have couple of questions to ask i filed AOS and EAD together but the check for EAD was returned back( a rejection notice alongwith NOA for AOS application). since i was filing both the petitions together, i wasnt supposed to send the fee for biometrics for both. so i applied again for the EAD with fee $180. after that i got the NOA 1 for EAD and biometrics appointment for AOS. today biometrics is done. it went well. now here my question is since i got the biometrics appointment for I-864 only. will i have biometrics appointment for EAD again? i am kinda confused at the moment. just want to know if anyone had gone through the same situation. any suggestions? another thing how do u guys know when ur case is "touched"? do u see ur status changed online???....

i came US on k3 visa and now i am in process of filing AOS. Can anybody plz tell me do i have to go for medical examination again as a part of sending the AOS application ( as the information on this website says i need a medical examination report too) . i was just wondering cz i submitted the medical exam. report to the Islamabad embassy on the interview day. do i have to go for medical examination again. there are a lot of people going through this process here so i hope somebody will help me.

univted 11, Congratulations on your approval and welcome to the USA. I researched for you and here is the link on the AOS guide and process. It says that most K3s and K4s start adjusting status as soon or right after their arrival into the states. http://www.visajourney.com/faq/k3k4visa-aos.html

I got my k3 visa on 30 sep 2005 and arrived US on 20 dec 2005 .Now i am in the process of preparing the application for AOS. My first question is how soon one should apply for the AOS after arriving US on k3 visa?

My second question is in I-485 part 2 which option i should select? there is no option stating like "i entered as a k3 spouse of a US citizen". instead it gives the option for k1. Should i cross off "h" that is " other basis of eligibility"???? which one will work for me?. any suggestions
