It's an error that happens. Get it corrected, he cannot just use that card thinking he doesn't need to remove condition later. If he fails to remove conditions he can be put into removal.

Okay now, he didnt get a permanent card vs temporary card.  He incorrectly recieved a 10 year green card instead of a 2 year conditional green card.  You file an I-90 with the incorrect card for free to get the correctly dated card.

I did the CR1 process and my husband came to the USA 11 months after being married. When he got here he got his green card that says it expires 2028, is this normal?  All my friends got a 2 year temporary green card.

Not sure but if they kept his passport it is a good sign. Keep emailing and calling because they will forget about you.

I am from the Dom Rep, and my case was sent to the consulate in the Dominican republic on April 27th, 2016. I am waiting for the next step. What is next? what documents I need to bring to the interview? I checked my case on ceac.state.gov and its say "ready" and It was updated yesterday may 5th, 2016.

I see... I'm contemplating joining my fiance for his interview. We don't live together, so I don't understand how these types of questions would apply to us.

May I ask why you were denied?

There was two questions my husband got confused with. She said she didn't feel our relationship was real and said I suggest you get married and come back. We were there 5 hours. They even logged in as me on facebook (I gave them password) to check our messages and pictures. I do suggest you go to interview. It also depends on the persons mood, the lady that interviewed us was a total #######

Was this for marriage or K1 visa interview?

That was for K1. I was denied the visa and got married and went again yesterday and only was asked a few questions. But now is election time and they giving a lot of visas out. But DR is high in fraud, people bring family members on k1 so they are more strict.

I had a bad experience last year with K1 in DR and got married and yesterday our visa was approved. Just know every question... Last year for k1 they separated us and even asked him what side of the bed you slept, who used the bathroom first in the morning, who paid for hotel, they even logged into my facebook to see if we had pictures.

I expedited the NVC process and was able to schedule my own interview.

Today was my interview and visa was approved. Sooo happy I finally get to be with my husband.

I had that issues on my K1. I got married after and doing I-130 now. It's beena year since my K1 interview and I still haven't gotten anything from them.

Given you applied for K1 instead of IR1/CR1, like most of us, the processing time for your visa could be different. This could explain why you waited for 8 months.

No my application is IR1/CR1. I did a K1 last year and didn't get approved so I got married. K1 is actually quicker.

I really don't think it's a good idea to recommend changing dates ect. This forum wants us to be straight up . Moderator what's your opinion on that post?

I changec the date by two months to do an inquiry online and it went through and few days later approved.

Tomorrow is going to be 7 months waiting for my NOA2 and nothing. I called USCIS today and they told me they just cleared my background check and since I requested a few service request that delays my petition. PD is August 10th, transferred to potomac Nov.

I'm going on my 7th month this week. Nothing yet. Every time I call they say something different.
