  1. Hello! I have just received all the form I-797c. Now I don't know what's going to happen next. The forms only showed the receipt numbers and information about our application. It says that cases have been received and are all in process.

Here are my questions that need your helpful response and assistance:

    1. I Didn't receive RFE along with the Form I 797c. Does it mean all the docs I sent are sufficient?

    2. How long does uscis usually take to send appointment for biometrics?

Please help me. Thank you all in advance.

  2. Not necessarily. What these notices mean is that they've received your paperwork. Once an immigration officer looks through your files, they will determine if you've sent in sufficient information. If they need more information from you, they'll send you a RFE, "request for evidence" with instructions on what to provide and where to send it.

Oh OK, thank you so much. I'll see how it goes, and if anything, I'll come back to this page for further assistance. Thank you again.

  3. The number of receipts you get are dependent on what you applied for. If you applied for AOS, AP and EAD for both you and your daughter, then you would get 6.

Wow, thank you for ur prompt response. One more question, does that mean I have sent complete requirements for our application?

That's normal, you'll receive a separate receipt and case number for each I-485, I-765 and I-131 form you filed.

Thank you for your prompt response. It's truly appreciated.

  4. Hi, I think I am now on the second stage of my application, I have finally received an acceptance confirmation email. It says there that I will be receiving a standard mail 7-10 days With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797).

Now my question is, is it normal to receive numbers of emails from them with I think 5 or 6 different MSC number? How many receipts shall I get from the mail? It's 2 of us applying for I-485, me and my daughter.

Please enlighten me about this matter. Your helpful response will be truly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  5. Any news yet? I cancelled my check and resubmitted all documents today.

Hi, I just received an acceptance confirmation email from uscis today. It says, "Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS National Benefits Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number." now is another waiting game. I hope everything goes well from here.

  6. Hi, I'm a K-1 visa holder. My husband and I got married on Nov 17, 2014. I also have a daughter with K-2 visa. Our I-94 will expire on Jan 14, 2015. We have already sent our I-485 packet with money order on Dec 27, 2014. When I tracked the shipment through usps.com, it said that it has been delivered on Jan 2, 2015. However, my money order says "No information is available for this serial number."

I haven't got any update or response from the USCIS yet. Please enlighten me about things I need to do. Your helpful response will be truly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
