  1. Thank you for asking The interview went well. They asked me how I know my wife how we met where me met have I been to the US before have I had any trouble at the border. Have them all the originals. The officer said your visa is approved. They asked me to scan in my birth certificate as I obtained a duplicate one. They wanted the original and I only had a photocopy attached to the translated docs. Came home and my Status Showed READY. Checked the morning after and it showed iSSUED. It said they are doing Admin Work. Checked today and it still showed ISSUED but the explanation says the visa is in its final stages and that I should receive it in 5 days.

How long does it take to go from Issued to In Ttansit ? I don't see any tracking number yet. Is that on the CEAC site or the Loomis site ? I wanted to know the stages it goes trough Ready Issued etc how quickly is the passport shipped ? I thought it was a week or something. I'm very excited and want to have it in my hands. Been very long

Mine didn't change to in Transit: 2 days after it says Issued, I received the email from Loomis that they pickup my documents from Consulate. The next morning I received another email that it's ready for pickup.
  2. It was hack of a day ... stayed at Sherbrooke Ave., registered online for Loomis in a last moment in midnight ... Early in the morning without having a breakfast walked to consulate :( ... reached there at 7:30 ..got #7 :D,

My first number called at 9:00. The lady officer couldn't able to find my file on her computer and first asked me about my status here :S then about the letter and passport.... then she said "is my appointment today even she had my letter in her hands :D....Finally she walked into the office and asked senior officers to check my file and comeback asked me to wait and sit.

Second time called me at same window... this time she had my file in hard copy took my medical, and other documents, checked all documents again ask new photos, tax documents and gave me CD from the doctor as well as one copy of legal rights and ask me to read it properly before the main interview.

Then finally at 10 O.clock the second officer called me asked me to read the statement for telling the truth and check my file again asking typical questions like when we met, about marriage date, her and mine marital status ....confusing that time. come to point about how gonna my house wife support me ... I replied him simply that I am doing it and i will do it. then he asked me did i read the paper about legal rights of residents .... I replied to that... after that he asked about my joint sponsor and again asking question about how i m gonna survive there.... confusing again.... he was looking and writing something on his computer ... than he said my visa is approved and will see you there in US.... loomis will contact and that it... :D.....then went back to exit and that all for today....

    P.S: Online status shows ... Issued :D

    Congratulations.
  3. Nicole, do you think there might be a chance for us to be scheduled for November?

You probably receive a December interview hopefully no one will wait longer than usabound12456 waited for more than 5 months from Cc to interview. Me, I waited 4 months from Cc to interview date. In the end it's all worth it. I had my interview last Thursday and now my passport is ready for pick up. Good luck.
  4. Hi brentos,

When my case had been stalled for 20 days just because they needed to scan my i-130 for the embassy, my husband and I decided to write congressmen. We felt we were in a blackhole. Two days later after contacting them, we got CC. Three days after that they scheduled my interview. Two out of three of the politicians we contacted replied and one is still actively following our case.

Since we got the packet 4 letter confirming the interview, the NVC has sent three extra e-mails with more detailed instructions, and called my husband twice to make sure we bring the correct documents to the interview. I don't see this happening to a lot of people - we think they've been like this because the congressman office is on their back.

The two senators that have replied back to us have employees dedicated to work on cases like ours. If I were you, I would contact them. Explain the mistake they made with your case and that you want to be with your spouse for the holidays... At this point, you don't really have much to lose.

(I hope I'm not being repetitive. But it's cruel of them to make you wait for 42 days more.)[/quote

The NVC called my husband too after they scheduled my interview to make sure we have the papers needed for interview. We waited 4 months from CC to interview date.

  5. Congratulations. :goofy:

Thank you Dwheels for all the info you shared with us. I had all my documents in order. They only asked for the originals and I had our updated I-864 with 2014 IRS tax transcript. The lady at window 2 was really happy how quick I was in giving her the documents she asked for. When I was called for the actual interview they didn't even asked evidence of on going relationship.
  6. Interview letter (P4) just received by e-mail.....and naturally, LOL, my printer cartridge just died. Anyway, I'm very very excited. Now I can go ahead and book the medical in Toronto and gather all the paperwork and continue to patiently wait (HA!) for the interview. I booked my rental car and hotel yesterday.

I hope everyone else gets their letters very very soon too. :joy:

Hey what time was your interview. I had my interview today October 15 @ 10am

can u tell us how its going at the interview and what they asked,

we so need to know ,

    thank u

I think it depends on the consulate and the person who conduct the interview. I was only asked:

what is the work of your husband?

    When did you get married?

    Have you been arrested?

    When did you first meet?

Have you been to the u.s illegally?

Didn't even asked to see any of my supporting documents.
