AOS from F1 student status in Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas Posted January 10, 2015 I have a question. I am an F1 student or I can say I was an F1 student. My mother filed a petition I-130 which was approved. My priority date was 6/4/2007 My priority date became current on the November 2014. I sent the i-485 adjustment of status on 10-30-2014 It was received on the 11/2/2014 On November 18 the case status online said that USCIS has received my case and they are working on it. On December 3 received the received notice with the appointment for the Biometrics December 11-2014 I had biometrics done My old EAD card expired on the 1/5/2015 My EAD card was approved and sent on the 1/8/2015 I know that I was able to adjust status here in the US because I kept my legal status as a F1 student. My mother is a US citizen petitioning for a unmarried son older than 2 years old My question is: Am I protected (now that I sent the adjustment of status) Or Do I still have to renew an I-20 one more time and take classes to keep the F1 status until I received my permanent residency card?

I have a question.
I am an F1 student or I can say I was an F1 student.
My mother filed a petition I-130 which was approved.
My priority date was 6/4/2007
My priority date became current on the November 2014.
I sent the i-485 adjustment of status on 10-30-2014
It was received on the 11/2/2014
On November 18 the case status online said that USCIS has received my case and they are working on it.
On December 3 received the received notice with the appointment for the Biometrics December 11-2014
I had biometrics done
My old EAD card expired on the 1/5/2015
My EAD card was approved and sent on the 1/8/2015
I know that I was able to adjust status here in the US because I kept my legal status as a F1 student.
My mother is a US citizen petitioning for a unmarried son older than 2 years old
My question is:
Am I protected (now that I sent the adjustment of status)
Or Do I still have to renew an I-20 one more time and take classes to keep the F1 status until I received my permanent residency card?
