Today is day 28 since NOA1 for me. Have to admit I am getting a bit worried about it taking so long.
How long would you guys wait before calling USCIS and seeing what's up?
Obviously the whole process will take a long time, but most people are getting their bio appts in like 14 days or less. I just don't want to unintentionally miss my appointment..
I don't know why but whoever filed after 19th or the 20th of December didn't receive nothing from USCIS in the mail , and that makes me think that maybe they started processing your appointment after the 20th of December and that's why you haven't received a mail yet, i live like 30 minutes away from CSC , if they mailed something i should have get it by now it's been like 10 days , so maybe they have a problem with their mailing department or they might have send mails to everyone because they cashed our checks but USPS just being extremely slow because I'm getting mails these days that are dated in the mid of December. Otherwise i have no idea what's going on because in the begin of December and way before that i read people would get NOA1 in 4-5 days and biometrics mail in about 2 weeks after filing so.. someone USCIS or USPS is not doing their job right or they are extremely slow these days.

They just cashed my checks as well ? Waiting for NOA ?

Thank you so much!!

IF the marriage was/is bonafide
did the pregnancy by someone else overlapped your relationship
The statement go and find happiness by both of you...are questions
could be ask...not getting along but agreeing on your immigration benefit
You do haave co-ingle proof, counseling proof which could be a plus
which can still come off very agreeable to the IO
The marriage is 100% real , when i met my wife her son was 1 years old and the kid's father doesn't exist in his life and based on my wifes' statements is a horrible person . ( i never met him) by saying (going and find happines by both of us ) we meant like since we don't understand each other and we see things in a different way is better for us to be apart and actually do whatever we think each of us should do. we don't have to stay in a bad relationship and feel bad both of us. As for her kid i just love him maybe even more than i would love mine , it's just our personalities are so different that we just can't agree and make it work , it used to be way different but i guess after people getting married things are way different as they used to be. At least this is our experience so far.

Hello everybody,
So the story goes like this..me and my wife we met a year and half ago and got married after 6 months, Which is excactly a year ago we were much in love and she also had a son 1 years old from her previous relationship which he made us come even closer and want us start a family all of us together. I applied for my AOS on december 2014 and got approved on March 2015 as you can check on my timeline. But recently there's a lot of problems in our relationship and things aren't going so well unfortunately, We are evolving in way too different people with different goals and different ways of doing things, different ideas and personalities, especially when it comes to the kid we don't agree in any way how we should raise him right because she and me think excactly the opposite. We also live with her mother in the same house but all of us together w just can't make it work out we've been and we still going to a Marriage Counselor but without any success. so we were talking the other day that it should be better for us to divorce and each of us to go apart and find our own happines with no hard feelings. I know that if in the end we gonna divorce i can file i-751 waiver right after i have my divorce decree which i will do it with the help of an attorney that did our AOS case and he did and excellent job. And here comes my questions:
1) Nothing holds me to stay in Georgia anymore(We reside in Georgia) if we would divorce i would leave and start my life in a different state , so my question is that if i move to a different state after i get the divorce decree and apply for i-751 waiver is it gonna be any problem to apply from a different state since i did my AOS from Georgia? ( state of California)
2) Is my GC gonna be invalid and out of status after our divorce is gonna be finalized? My GC expires on March 2017
3) Is our marriage too short and have low success for approval for the i-751 waiver ? ( I have plenty of evidence)
4) My Evidence list are the following: Joint bank account , Joint Car insurance , Joint Credit card , Joint bills ( gas + power) / internet and water is under he mother's names , private lease between all of us stating we leaving all together, Vacation of all of us together to Disneyland ( hotel bills from there and tickets and photos) , second vacation all of us together in Vegas , doctor reference and results addressed to our common address, IRS Taxes return transcript of us filed jointly 2014, marriage counseling recipts and i can ask a letter , Drivers license with the same addess, 1 lease from previous apartment we leaved together and our private lease for our current house that her mother owns , Car title of mine that says our home Address but the title is not joint because she got a new car jointly with her mother , tickets from different activities , i can provide affidavits from her mother and friends, we don't have joint health insurance because she is not currently working and she gets health insurance from the goverment, that's it pretty much ..it's been only a year and we don't have something else do you think they would be enough evidence?
5) Should i wait and apply for the i-751 later and not right away and also is it better to stay in Georgia and then Leave ?
We tried very hard for our marriage to work but unfortunately we just can't ,I know it's a big post but thank you for taking the time to review it and any opinnion or suggestion would be welcome.

the whole process took 3 and a half months from the day i applied to the day i got my GC in my hands! I hope my timeline will help others ... thank you everybody i'll see you in 20 months from now !!

Same thing for me , on March 26th i had my interview and i got approved , the officer gave us the approved letter and he said he would order my green card after we would walk out, no updates on that day , next day on 27th i got one email-txt for i-130 that i got approved and one email-txt for i-485 decision : they mailed me my welcome notice and since then i got no news , my status online didn't change to CPO and i haven't receive nothing on the mail...i don't know if this is normal or if something is wrong :/

I hope so , thanks man

Okay guys i just wanted to ask a question , on March 26th we had our AOS interview and everything was good ! We got approved on the spot and the officer gave us a paper that said congratulations we got approved . While we were leaving he said he would send our approval to uscis right now and also he would order my green card now as well so i can get it as fast as possible! So we left the building happy of course:) but nothing did changed online so the next day on 27th i got 2 emails/2txts one for i-130 that says my case was approved on 26th of March and another one for i-485 that is decision and says on March 26th i got approved and they did send me my welcome notice, i see a lot of people here getting approved on the spot at their interview and maximum after 2 hours they get online updates that their card is under production. Now my question Is there a problem that my case online hasn't changed to card production yet and it stucked at welcome notice ?? Is there a possibility that they are producing my green card now but they forgot to update it online? Or whatever the reason is..thanks in advance!

Today we had our Interview , everything went fine , we were called after an hour of our check in , the officer was very nice , polite and very professional at the same time , he didn't check any of our pictures he just wanted bills and any evidence we have that proves we live together , he just asked me 2-3 questions like where do i live , how i support our family and why i decided to get married with my wife , then he asked my wife most of the questions , they were around 20-30 questions mostly about our living and mostly about how we support each other but nothing too crazy, then he just gave us a piece of paper that said we got approved and he told me i should expect my green card withing 2-3 weeks. he also said he will send our approval to USCIS after we would leave to start my card production today. the whole interview did last around 30-40 minutes but everything was good and we got approved !!!! i'm a little bit worried that my case online didn't change so far... but overall i'm very satisfied , the whole AOS process took me only 100 days !!! thank god!! i will let you know guys how long it took them to send me the green card as soon as i'm gonna have it my hands..good luck to everybody !! i hope the best for everyone!! feel free to ask me any questions you may have..

To whom may consider , i got my SS card in 8 days after applying for it. Even if they say that it takes 2 weeks:)

Thanks!
Thank you! Good luck on yours too :-) Sure I can share....
My wife and daughter's interview were at 8:30 am and 9:10 am with the same immigration officer (IO) at the Fairfax, VA office so we all went in at the same time. I brought someone in to translate English/Spanish for them just in case it was asks as their English skills is only basic. I brought everything it was asked on the checklist so we were prepared. After we were all sworn in the IO first went over the answers written on both I-485s and first asked me and then he asked my wife about biographical information of what it was submitted. He also asked us personal questions regarding our marriage, when it took place, how we met, etc etc.... about 6 questions, first to me and then to her using the translator (we were all in the same room). Then he asked my wife the "have you ever in or outside of the United States" questions on the I-485 as he said that he needed to ask . After that he asked a couple of questions to my daughter (biographical questions) and then he was done with both interviews. He updated their SSNs as we just got them this week. We started the interview at about 8:45 am and were done by 9:20 am. He said that everything he needs for now he has it, and if he needs anything else he would let us know, but everything looks okay. He was very courteous and professional through out the whole interview process. In the afternoon, we received confirmation vial text and email that they were approved!!!!
Awesome!! Glad for you guys:) thank you

AntonyDraga, thank you for your reply. Another question, did they ask for your passport when you applied for your SSN? Mine has expired and that worries me.
Yes they did ask me for my passport, I don't think there's a problem if it's expired, they just need to check who you are I guess

So this morning, we received an e-mail notice that we are scheduled for an interview for the I-485 and that it is scheduled for March 30th. Considering we filed our AOS package on December 31st, I really didn't think that we would have an interview this quickly (pretty much 3 months from filing date).
No movement on our I-765 or I-131 yet, hopefully those will be approved soon.
Congrats my friend! You are lucky like few of us , i got mine in 3 months too for March 26th, don't worry about the EAD as long as you gonna get your GC in a month!

EAD/AP Combo Card arrived and in hand today, one day earlier than projected!
