  1. We have the same issue my moms name in my birth certificate is different from her NSO birth cert. what we did is that we went to local civil registry where I was born and file a correction of entry, they will need proof of identity to proof that she is the same person on your birth such as nbi passport etc. what my sister did is she went there and personally get the paper and she sent it to my brother in Manila and then my brother went to NSO but luckily we know somebody inside and ours didn't take long it was only 10 days and we got her birth with annotation of her name. They said that normal processing time takes 3-6 months or longer depend case to case basis.

I petion my mom may of this yr. and we r in the process of accuring her Philippine passprt but then realize that her name in her birth certificate. And her name on my birth certificate is not the same.. And they told my mom she needs to get a correction of entry.. Do we need to get a atty. to fix this problem? Does any one have same problem in there parents birth cert?

  2. My mom was place on AP because her name was misspelled wrong on my birth and they advice same thing to go NSO. Ours only took two weeks then soon as they receive it her visa was issued three days after! It's case to case basis.

My case is in AP too because I didn't have CENOMAR. I was advised to go to NSO to request one. How long does this case normally take?

  3. My mom got a 221g during her interview on june 15 and submitted the missing documents july 7 her case was AP never changed and thursday july 16 her visa was issued.

Embassy recieved our 221g docs and ceac status went from admin processing to ready and case creation date was updated to today and went from non immigrant to immigrant. Is this a good sign of getting approved? Really anxious waiting for decision. Been waiting too long. Pls any input or experiences

  4. Hello po my mom got another email from Manila embassy saying Birth Certificate on NSO security paper for Josephine with Annotation of mothers name? They found out that my moms name has an error instead ir azela it was written as arzela! Is joint affidavit sworn by lawyer enough or have to do the process from local registrar and change her name from ther? Anybody has same issue?

  5. Wow exactly what happen to my moms interview last Monday! I have a joint sponsor myself and we both make above the poverty guidelines and when my mom gets into releasing they told her that my co sponsor has to fill up I-864A cause we live in same household? We are not married so we cannot fill up the I-864A and what's frustrating when you call the embassy the call center agents will just tell you follow the instructions! Really? So now I have to mail this affidavit of support for the third time! This time I included my pay stubs from my jobs letter of employment and tax transcripts and my income which I got a new job went up to 55,000$ a year so we'll see how this gonna go!

My dad did not get his visa today. I have not seen the letter yet, but he says they said our family income was not sufficient. They want me to prove I have enough income or find a joint sponsor.

The hilarious thing is I did find a joint sponsor a long time ago. I sent all her papers to NVC. Then I sent them again when NVC sent me an RFE claiming the income was insufficient. And my dad had all the copies of the joint sponsor's paperwork with him at the interview.

The joint sponsor's income is twice as much as is required for a household of seven (my family), and she only has three in hers.

I can send them all her papers for the fourth time, of course. But how do I know they will not ignore those yet again without explanation?

  6. That's what I thought! We did submit each one of us I-864 submitted to NVC and called NVC today and advice me to talk to embassy but can't get a hold of anybody except call center people! so I'm sending this I-864a with letter explaining why we shouldn't submitted this and also submitted a new I-864 with supporting documents.

  7. A BF is not considered a relative even a fiancé! I read the instructions and called NVC about it we don't have anything to show proof that we are related! But for the sake of their dumb self their I'm sending it to them! And idk why they are asking for another sponsor they probably mistaken our income as one as we make same amount of money per year!

  8. I called NVC and told me he's my co sponsor not member of my household sense were not married but embassy wants me to submit I-864a we both signed so I'm confused! And called Manila call center is a waste of time all the agents keep saying the same follow the instructions wth it's pathetic!
