oops sorry about my lingo The odd member as in a couple of members that got the last of their submissions reviewed and case complete within 3 or so days. In other words you could get case complete at any time between now and a couple of weeks

Ohhh Ok-I guess u mean every other person is lucky to get there case completed in 3 days the others could take up to a couple of weeks. Well lets see what happens.

NVC rec'd DS-230 for my parents on April 4

Case completed on April 14

Case sent to Embassy on April 19

Embassy rec'd it on April 22 (Saturday) as per DHL tracking

On April 27 Embassy assigned interview date of June 1, 2006

Hello, Hope you are fine , I m in Islamabad-Pakistan, My case is IR-1 about to receive DS230 from NVC, but for practice i downloaded it for filling practice, please guide me about following items:

1. Family Name (is this caste?)

3. Full name in Native Alphabet(it says that write in Urdu? or...)

9. Marital Status ( i married once, so what should i tick, Single or Married?)

14. Maiden or family name? what i should write here.

17. Mothers Family name at birth? mother's name is same ever, then what should write here.

and Blanks should be filled as N/A?

1 and half month now NVC sent DS-230, but still waiting, is there any way to receive it quickly?

1. Family Name: Is your last name or surname

2. Full name in Native: yes you need to write in Urdu, I wrote mine in Punjabi

3. If your are male you need not to write anything. For married woman, it would be their Name before marriage, but I never write any thing where they ask to write Maiden name. I had always wrote N/A

4.Mother's Family Name: I had written Full Mother Name. Write what ever is your Mother's current name

5. Put N/A where you think it should be. At some places I have written "NONE" like where they said Previous visit to U.S.

6. For my father I self-generated DS-230 and sent it. But I sent it out same Tuesday when Automated message was updaged - saying DS-230 have been generated.

HEY I EMAILED THE DS 3032 , AND HAVENT RECEIVED NO SORT OF RESPONSE-- NEITHER A NVC "AUTOMATED" RESPONSE NOR AN ACCEPTANCE LETTER..

I EMAILED THEM ON TUES, 4/26.

AND AGAIN TODAY, TUES, 5/1

WHAT TO DO.... (BESIDES BEING PATIENT?)

Just be patient. Some time they take little longer. Hopefully you will get something in email today or tomorrow. You won't get any acceptance letter or something. But automated message will be updated -- saying NVC has rec'd response to DS-3032 or ??

You can call them and check it.

When my friend called last week after emailing his DS-3032 over 6 working days ago. The Operator told him they have rec'd DS-3032 (in Email) and have sent an email back about its acceptance. Then we looked our email and there was none. Then after two hours we FINALLY got an email -- NVC has rec'd DS-3032 and blah blah.....

I generated that barcode thing for the aos fee bill and ups-ed it on wednesday.. they got it too. on thurs.. when do u think i'll get a different recording on the automated sys?

do u think that becoz i sent it in a regular envelope and not theirs that they'll mind?

granted i still havent received anything yet..

i emailed them the ds 3032 letter too.. no response yet.. i did that on 4/25.

Just be patient. I have seen for email they may take any where from 3 days to 6 working days.

Once they receive DS-3032 (Bcoz of email) they will update automated messag the very next day once they process your email request.

There won't be any automated message for receipt of AOS fee. You will have to call them, talk to the operator to check if they have received it or not. As you have sent it on Wednesday. Your I-864 packet won't be generated next week, that will be week after next week. On Tuesday Morning (May 9) you can listen to updated message if they have generated I-864 packet.

There are still chances if they process your email request by Monday night (May 1) for DS-3032, they may generate Immigrant visa Fee (IV Visa Fee) bill for $380 on Monday, you can check automated message on Tuesday(May 2) morning, if they have actually generate it

For me it took approx. 2 months to go thru NVC.

You need not worry if you are using Jame's short cut.

You can always call MoneyGram or who so ever you have used to make Moneyorder/Official check to check has been cleared or not

I sent email myself on behalf of my parents. I wrote like this:

I am sending this email on behalf of my parents. They would like to appoint me as their Agent Of choice for DS-3032 form and ...... (All information like Name, Case #, DOB)

I also sent email in the same format for my friend, and they accepted it

You can just send email for DS-3032. They accept it. I have done it three times.

Twice for my parents

and once for my friends sister last week

Did anyone use James short to create DS230?

Any objection from NVC?

I got my motherr's DS230 in the mail yesterday, but some reason they haven't generated my Father's DS-230 this week. I was little impatient just used Jamie's short to create DS-230 barcode sheet. Just came back from Post office after mailing those off. What a relief !!!

It is not true. I don't agree with it. I have filed for my parents/brother. I filed on I-130s on Oct 28, 2005 and then in Dec (first week) I got a letter - request for additional information -- actually they were not convinced with Birth certificates as a proof that me and my brother are related so I submitted additional affidavits on Dec 22, 2005 those were in their system on Dec 28. Then on Feb 08, 2006 I got an APPROVAL for all three I-130s - Mother/Father/Brother. Now parents case is in the final stage waiting for DS-230 in the mail.

NVC assisgned case numbers to my cases on Feb 14, 2006.

I hope this will ignite some hope -- things are actually happening at VSC -- Be patient !!!!

NVC automated system is back online, I just checked this morning (6:30AM, March 10, 2006)

Did they cash your check ? If yes, you can check on the back of your check -- case number is there and you can use that to check online -- is there is any yet.

If you have online banking -- you can view check images right there -- my bank BBAndT offers that service for free.

The barcode is pre-printed. I photocopy the original and then cut the bard code from the photocopy and pasted on the pre-printed DS-3032.

In addition to that I sent them email saying -- my parents would like to appoint me as their Agent of choice.

Hey, sending an email wouldn't hurt even though you are going to send original DS-3032. At the most what can happen -- they can accept Agent of choice because of your email -- if you are lucky.

I asked one of the operator specifically -- Is it ok to email regarding agent of choice -- and he said yes.

I'd suggest you just give a shot, that save you some time --- it wouldn't hurt at all

LOOKS LIKE THE AUTOMATED SYSTEM IS WORKING 3 MIN WAIT TO SPEAK WITH AN OPERATOR

I know you still can talk to the operator. It goes like:

Press '1' for english

Then wait 3 or 4 minutes (Nothing happens during this time,,,,,,,,,,,,,, just silence)

It goes that familiar automated messages then Press '1' -- for english -- >'2' to get to the operator

Is it normal - in the interview they ask to bring the Original I-130 approval letter ? I know, back in 2002 they asked my mom to bring the original I-130 approval letter even though photocopy was attached in.

That seems stupid --- how can a petition reached all the way to interview process if the case seems like not approved.

I don't understand their interest in seeing the approval letter. So for that reason they denied the visa on the day of interview, but after a week (when I sent courier --- ORIGINAL I-130 APPROVAL letter) they issued a Visa after getting original I-130 approval letter.

Has anyone seen or heard this before ?

I mailed NVC preprinted DS-3032 with Barcode pasted on the top. But later I emailed them saying on behalf of my parents, I am sending this email. My parents would like to appoint me as their Agent of Choice. and gave all the information regarding case numbers, DOB etc and then after 2 days I got email confirming -- NVC has received DS-3032, -- I think my email did this MAGIC

Did anyone check NVC automated service recently, it doesn't work. When it ask you to enter left 3 letters of you case number, after that it comes back and says "It couldn't find any match"

You can just email NVC, they accept emails as well. I have done this for parents. I sent email on Feb 28, 2006 (7:30PM(EST)) ang got reply on March 3, 2006(8:13AM (EST)) and then I called customer service to confirm that and that was atually true. Then on Saturday Morning when I called (603)334-0700, message was updated saying: "NVC has received the DS-3032, Agent of choice and bla........"

I'm hoping on Tuesday morning message should be updated like" Visa fee (Packet IV) has been generated ..."
