  1. Hello guys, so I petitioned for my mom to move here, my husband is in the military and i am currently a stay at home mom so we will be using his income to fill out the AOS, however, i don't know whether i should list my husband as a joint sponsor since we file our taxes jointly or if i should just enter his employment information on the AOS

  2. Congrats on the baby and the expedite.

I believe if everything else is good they will approve you pending the medical and once that is complete, you'll get your passport back.

Maybe email the embassy and see if they have a different process for pregnant women.

Thank you :) I sent an email to the embassy and I will have my husband call them, hopefully everything goes well with the interview, the only thing I don't have is the medical report. Hopefully they will be lenient. At the end of the day we have to put the health and safety of our baby first we don't wanna be reunited and have to mourn over the loss of our baby rather than celebrate

  3. hey guys, so I am currently faced with a problem, my case was expedited and I went to do my medical, I was unable to have the Xray done because my gyno advised against having it done while i'm still in my first trimester, my issue now is that I wont be out of my first trimester till the next 3 weeks and my interview will be before that. Will I be denied a visa because of that or will they understand that we were just putting the safety of our baby first? This has had me freaked out

  4. I'm working on that now as well:

    Questions--

    1. For the supporting documents, the last item on the cover sheet says "photocopies" -- is that simply indicating I need to include a photocopy of all the above required items?

    2. Under financial documents, under "proof of relationship"-- do they mean marriage certificate, pictures, etc? I don't see how that falls under financial and since we already submitted that with original i-130 petition... or things like a joint bank account (which we also already submitted).

Well since we will now be working directly with the embassy just take all the original documents, but if you wanna be on the safe side you can take photocopies as well that's what i am doing, ensure you have your marriage certificate, and pics, call logs etc. The reason they ask for proof again is because alot of the times documents get missing between USCIS and NVC and along the way to the embassy also

  5. And have you put together your packages yet? Are we supposed to bring those to the interview or what?

I don't see an option to submit online but my CEAC summary says: "After submitting the DS-260, provide all supporting documentation (as listed on the Documents The Applicant Must Submit web page) for each applicant to your Consulate or U.S. Embassy."

yes I am putting together the packages, we are supposed to take them with us on the day of the interview and pay the IV fee on the day of the interview

  6. Mine still says "in transit", I've been checking daily. But it's even more odd because mine says "Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center."

I paid only the AOS fees and the DS261 at the NVC level as well.

But my DS-260 became available while "in transit", so I submitted that today. Have you done that or no?

mine says "Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3731.html"

I finished the DS260 yesterday and submitted it. Now I am just anxiously waiting on the interview date.

  7. I thought the embassy scheduled interviews.

How did you know it arrived at the embassy? Who did you contact -- the embassy or NVC?

Did you provide all the documents and fees to NVC or were told to do that the embassy stage?

I tracked it here https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspxand it said "ready" and I only paid the AOS fee and did the DS261 at NVC they said everything else will be done at the embassy. I thought the embassy would be able to give me a date but this was their response " An interview date has not yet been assigned to this case. Please await further information and instructions from NVC."

  8. So I received my Case and IIN numbers today, I was able to fill out the DS-261 but when I tried to log in to pay the AOS fee it said "This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately." Anyone else got this message?

  9. God is good all the time, and all the time god is good!!!! On this very day at this very moment my case was approve.
