Hey everyone,
Great news, got interview scheduled for 17th of August, in London.
Does anyone know if the delays for issuing visas has been resolved yet? Or even if the CR1 visa was affected?
Thank you in advance

Hi all,
Just a query if anyone has been through this part.
We`re expecting case complete within the next couple of weeks and would love to have an idea of the time between that and getting the interview.
I was thinking of a visit if it was going to be a while yet don`t want to be in the States should the letter come through and lose time to organise the medical etc.
Finding info comes to dead ends, from where I have looked.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Hi all,
So AOS and IV package sent and we received a check list, my wife hadn`t put her name on line 20 of the sponsors contract although signed further down the page.
We will be re sending this back to them completed so my question is; Does this re start the clock as if we had just sent it all or are they quick to complete as the rest of the information is with them?
Thank you in advance.

Hi all,
I have a quick question on the waiting time after AOS and IV forms have been received by the NVC.
I have read that it could be UP TO 60 days to review, many people saying it was a lot shorter than that.
Today we recieved the e mail of receipt of the forms and they state they will take AT LEAST 60 days due to the increased volume of cases being sent to them by the USCIS.
So to the question, Is this, (by experience) correct or could it still take less than the 60 days originally stated?
Thanks in advance

Hi all,
Just a quick question, we`re filling in the AOS form and at the box requesting a social security number for me (don`t have one yet as I haven`t got there yet )
I`m sure I read on here to not leave anything blank and to use a specific word yet after trawling through the pages I can`t seem to find the answer again.
Is it ok to leave blank or is there something specific to put in the box?
Many thanks in advance.
Great site and valuable info on all topics.
Have I waffled on too much

I asked that exact question last week. I called them 35 times (hit redial until my thumbs were numb) and finally got through. Waited about 45 min or so to speak to a person. They gave me both my Case number and my IIN number.

Woohoo got through to the NVC after about 35 redials and a 45 min hold They gave me our Case number & our IIN. Why the heck they don't give you that info when it's generated I can't figure (maybe I didn't know the secret handshake). Now on to the DS-261. Thank you everyone for the advice.

We got our approval I130 on Nov 3, 2014 and was told our case was being sent to the NVC. We have yet to hear anything from the NVC to say they received it. Is it normal to take this long to get a case number? We have tried to call the NVC over and over again but the number given only gives a fast busy Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Marry then leave the US before filing?

You`ll be fine going back and forth to the States, As CJ said, take proof of your ties to the UK on each trip.. My case has been a year and 4 months so get ready for the long haul.
Good luck
