Roughly how long after biometrics appointment should I expect until I receive my new gc or or a denial? my appointment was in August & I’m now wondering if I should be calling someone to ask what’s going on...
-
I called to check the status of our money order & it said it has been presented for payment & to call back tomorrow check that it has cleared. Does that mean it's been cashed?

Where do I see my updates? Do you get an email once package is received & approved?
-
About to take our package to the post office! I can't wait for my NOA
-
One more question...
Should I write my A# at the top of every page in my packet? I think I remember doing this 2 years ago...

It's backward this time. You are the petitioner wishing for your conditional gc to be removed. It is confusing, I agree.
And as for the evidence, there's a billion ways to interpret what's needed. Follow your gut on what you think is enough. There's overkill, then there is overkill! If you read up on the guides...specifically the I 751 by cookie cat and june 2017 filers you should get enough info on what you need to include. Personally, I did not inundate USCIS with overload. I'm about quality not quantity and work by the premise that sometimes less is more.
Thank you! Cookie Cat's post was very helpful but my package will be quite simple compared to theirs lol. I just finished my cover letter & am hoping to print pictures tomorrow morning so I can get this sent out by Monday. The correct fee is $595 + $85 for biometrics, correct? Should I do 2 separate money orders or just one? My entire package is just the money order, completed I-751, photocopy of permanent resident card, photocopies of our son's birth certificate, shared car insurance, apartment lease, shared bank account & a statement of my health insurance through my husbands employment. Oh & of course family photos + a few extra of our baby hehe
I'm hoping this will be enough!

Yes, you are correct. Part 1 is all about you, the person wishing to remove conditions also known as the petitioner. Part 4 is all about the USC, which I am guessing is your husband. You complete part 7 as your are the petitioner and he completes part 8 as the spouse and the USC.
Don't stress about forgetting how this site works...I did the same once I returned.
Aaah, okay - thank you. I messed that up completely so I'm glad I asked! I thought he was the petitioner
Maybe that was just for the I-130? Gosh, that feels like ages ago... now I'm back to having no idea what I'm doing lol

I apologize to whoever responded to my previous post. It's been a while since I've been on here & I apparently can't even figure out how to reply... Bare with me lol. Another question though - section 4 is my husband's info, right? Then again in Part 7? The wording is throwing me off. I know he's the petitioner, I'm the applicant... But why does it seem like they requested more of his info than mine?

Only 2 years have gone by & somehow I forgot how stressful putting things together can be
can anyone tell me where I might find my USCIS Online Account Number!? I don't remember ever having one...

I had my interview today at the Montréal location & was approved. I just wanted to let people know that although there's been a lot of people saying to go for when they open (7:30am) they do not let anyone in earlier than a half hour before their scheduled time. I came around 7:15 & waited until the doors opened, I was about 8th in line. When it was time for the lady to check my interview letter she told me to come back in 45 minutes. I didn't mind because there's a Starbucks right down the street. I met a girl who was scheduled for later that day who did the same thing & they turned her away as well & told her to come back 15 minutes before her appointment.

I have an interview scheduled for next Tuesday & as I was going through my documents I noticed that the AOS we originally sent in has been expired since 03/31/2015. When we sent the document in we were told we could still use the form but I'm reading online I need to take an updated affidavit of support to my interview? Just looking for a little guidance as I am now stressing, & am unsure as to if we need to redo the form or not. I apologize if this isn't where I'm supposed to ask this question

CC July 20th
Interview scheduled today for September 29th in Montreal
Praying for all those who are waiting.

Received a CC today after exactly 30 long days since sending in missing documents

I never received a stamp or anything, was just asked to turn around & to be able to show documents proving ties to my country next time I tried to cross... Which was the next day & they never asked for anything! I've crossed many times since then but I saw that they noted if you're unsure about the exact dates of your travels to just give best estimate, so that's what I'm doing.

Today everything was finally posted as "paid" & I was able to begin my IV application
exciting, yes... But already I am so frustrated! I have only estimated dates of previous entries into the US & in one part of the application it asks if you have ever been denied entry (which I have) & I'm not even sure the exact date of that... I know it was in June & I was able to cross the next day without troubles but I'm wondering if this is going to cause any issues? Also wondering if being unemployed is going to look bad on the application?

Today I completed the DS-261 online form & was unable to print the confirmation so I clicked to have it emailed to my husband. It showed complete on the website but then he went in & clicked to review it for some reason & it is now saying incomplete?! what do I do
I'm trying to call NVC but of coarse it's busy ...

Received our case # today! ?
We were told it's still too soon to update our file to give our email address(s) for EP though... is this normal? The lady said to call back at the end of the week or early next week & they will be able to add them.

STILL WAITING FOR A CASE NUMBER
I feel like no matter how much I read Saylin's wiki I still have soo many questions! which makes me soo thankful for VJ & all of the experienced members on here
So as I'm re-reading Saylins very helpful wiki on EP & new online forms (for the hundredth time)... I read that the only form not available online is the I-864. I believe I found the form on another one of Saylin's links (bless her brilliant soul) & had my husband attempt to fill it out as I've read that it's helpful for this form to be filled out before hand. My husband was so confused, so we decided to have aN immigration lawyer help him to fill it out... well, he took forever to get the form back to us & charged us almost $300 for a half hour of his time including filling out the I-864 & answering a few questions I probably could have answered myself with a few searches of google. Anyways, earlier this week my husband finally got a copy & quickly scanned & emailed me the same. I wasn't able to really look at it until now & I'm realizing its already dated & signed by both him & the lawyer.. is this going to be a problem? would we be best to once it comes time re-do the form by just copying the information & dating/signing it with the current date? I imagine yes will be the answer but I just wanted to ask because he's now saying it was a total waste of time & money to have the lawyer do it if this is going to be the case. I'm really hoping the rest of the process forms are basic personal questions & not too confusing because this entire experience is starting to become soo overwhelming. I just want to be with my love already... 3 & a half months apart is enough for me already.

I'm new to VJ and am still trying to get familiar with things...
My husband is american (living in VA) and I am Canadian living in Ontario, fairly close to the NY border but unfortunately still 11 hours away from my love. My husband and I started our process in November and our I-130 was approved in around 21 days!
which I've heard is rare, so I'm quite happy about that! Just yesterday we called NVC and were told our case has been received but still has not been assigned a case number... I'm wondering if there's any way to expedite things? I mean, I'm aware it is doable... But I'm wondering how? I've searched and searched online but have had trouble finding a list of valid reasons as to how we could possibly go about it. My husband is in the military and I've been told that can benefit us but he just recently got out of active duty so I'm not sure if that changes things a little, or a lot... hoping someone can answer my question! Please and thank you

Thank you so much
I think you're right, I could always ask questions here if we're lacking knowledge or confused on how to fill out any of the forms. We had spoke to a lawyer in up state New York for just an idea as to what we were getting ourselves into earlier in the summer & she saw my husband in his military uniform & told us she wanted $2500 to help us LOL... What a joke that was. we decided to try to do the package on our own & kinda slacked on how quickly we sent it out because I wanted to be able to visit him because he recently got out of active duty & moved back to VA, his home state to be in the reserves & possibly go back to school... since all his family is there we thought it would be best for support reasons & he did spend most of the past 5 years away from them being active. But doing so, he also moved 11 hours away from me
I am Canadian & reside in eastern Ontario... (I definitely will update my profile once I figure out how to do so). I want to go visit him so bad for a couple weeks because I haven't seen him since October but Im afraid it would mess the process up & I don't want to do anything to jeopardize this. Today my husband called NVC & still no case number! I feel so torn
I understand it's a season of holidays but we've been waiting since November 5th & have heard absolutely NOTHING yet...

My husband & I have been married since August 1st, 2014 & I have spent basically the past 3 months away from him
we started our process in Ocfober 2014 & our I-130 petition was approved in just 21 days (beginning of Nov) which from what I've read, is quite fast... but since then we have not heard anything from NVC! I make myself crazy reading horror stories online of people waiting over a year or years for the process to be over... also I'm feeling conflicted as to if we should hire a lawyer or just do everything on our own like we did with the I-130 package? I just don't even know what to expect. Really wishing there was a way to speed things up...

I haven’t heard anything since my bio appointment last year... I did receive paperwork stating that my green card is extended until October 2018 but other than that, nothing. Is this normal?! My family is PCS’ing from Michigan to Florida next week and I don’t even know how to go about reaching out for an update. This is so stressful...
