  1. The airlines I was trying to buy the ticket online thru were Asiana and Korean Air. My fiance went to the airport in Cebu and was able to get the same price as online. I sent her the money through Xoom and she paid cash for the ticket. Problem solved. Thank you for the help everyone.

Moved from K1 Process & Procedures to Off Topic; topic is about purchasing airline tickets and not about any immigration process.

I would say it is about the immigration process. This is my fiances flight from the Phils to the US on the K1 Visa. Could happen to others. Just my opinion.

  2. I am having trouble buying a ticket online for my fiance to travel to the US. Airlines want the name on the ticket to be the same as the name on the credit card. My fiance is going to the airport to see if she can buy a ticket there and I will just sent her money. I am concerned that we will not get the great price that I can get on the internet. Has anyone else solved this problem?

  3. I have emailed the site my fiance used - ChinaLoveCupid.com - two times in request for a response on IMBRA. No response!

What should I do? It's not covered in their Terms of Use. It's an Australian company.

I'm going to try emailing them again...

I attached the response I got from Cherry Blossoms. It looked like a standard letter they send to any users in this situation. I realize it is a different web site, but I imagine they operate in a very similar way to Cherry Blossoms. If you do not get a response from the website this letter may help you shape your explanation to the IMBRA issue.

    Good luck!

  4. Hello June Filers,

My Filipina Fiance and I received our NOA 2 last week. We had one RFE related to IMBRA, but fortunately we were approved. :) (Very stressful for us) I don't understand the process from here. How do we know the NVC has received our petition and how do we know it has been sent to the embassy and how do we know the embassy received it. Thank you for your help. Good luck and God bless. :)

  5. Well I returned my RFE. First of all I had to correctly complete and sign the G325a. I didn't see the mistakes at first, but then when I went blank by blank I found several mistakes and redid and signed the form. It helped using the example form on this site. I also addressed the IMBRA issue. I wrote a cover letter. My fiancé and I wrote a letter describing the story of our relationship and how the role Cherry Blossoms played did not fit the criteria of an international marriage broker. I enclosed a letter from Cherry Blossoms that describes point by point why they are not an international marriage broker. I also included a few pictures to help the person looking at our petition realize what a good looking couple we are. :)

I was anxious putting it in the mail. There are so many details and it is so easy to make a mistake. And the process seems somewhat subjective. From the feedback I have received most people who have done what I have done have received their NOA2. Good luck to us all!

  6. I met my gal in the website now called "Filipina Cupid." There seems to be alot of interest by the USCIS regarding people who meet at websites such as this, "Cherry Blossoms" and others. I would suggest contacting Cherry Blossoms and indicate that you have received the RFE and what it contains. I did this for my gal - sent an email to the website and asked if the website was IMBRA compliant and copied the emails (mine and their response) to my petition and it was not an issue.

    Best of luck!

It would have been nice if TBoneTX would have included a link to the forum he mentions...

I have received an email from "Cherry Blossoms" explaining why they are not a marriage broker. Just to make sure that I understand your experience - you sent a copy of the response from Filipina Cupid in and they then approved your petition?

We are so anxious about this. We have been in a relationship for over 4 years.

Thank you so much for your reply.

  7. Hello Fellow Filers :)

My file was received in Dallas on June 12 and routed to the California Service Center. The notice date on my NOA1 is June 16th, 2015.

I am hoping I get the same speedy approval I see that many have. Hopefully they didn't get too many applications in June, which I understand is the busiest month. If anyone gets an RFE I would love to hear about it. That is my primary anxiety right now.

    Good luck everyone :)
