  1. Hello VJ'members, here is our situation! I petitioner US citizen recently lost my job, my husband will be attending his CR1 visa interview next month, I just got a new job which I will resume into after my husband's interview. My questions are; Do I need to send my husband a job letter of my new job? What to present or do in case the consular officer ask my husband questions regarding to my job?

I will appreciate each and everyone who can share their experience. Thanks in advance.

  2. Hello VJ's members, please, we would appreciate/welcome any constructive advise from you guys. Here's our concern; my wife and I have not seen each other since we married in a year now and it doesn't visible that she would be able to come untill the interview time at the consulate, presently we are at the NVC stage, her job is too demanding of her and she doesn't get time off easily otherwise she would get fire. We communicate regularly on a daily basis via skype, text messages and phone calls, we would like those of you guys that have been in this kind of situation to share your experience with us what to expect during the interview. Please, be kind to share your experience with us.

    Thanks in advance...

  3. Hello Members,

Greetings to everyone, I'm new here and I will be grateful if someone can enlighting me on the right birth certificate that the beneficiary need to submit at NVC for CR-1. My wife filed fiance visa for me last year and I was denial at the interview. During the interview process I submitted a short form birth certificate issued at one particular Local goverment in Nigeria, the birth certificate was accepted at the US embassy/consulate in Trinidad where I attended my interview. Now I have been reading different post on this site and at NVC website regarding the accepted birth certificate, I am now apply for another birth certificate at National Population Commission in Nigeria which I think is well accepted. My question is: Is it possible to submit both the Old birth certificate and the new one (Short Form and Long Form)? Which one can I submit between this birth certificate? I am totally confused on what to do. Please advice....Thanks in advance!
